Although we've been several times in Marrakech, it's the first time we visit this lovely little museum! It's well hidden yet really easy to find when you look for it. It has more to offer than great pictures for photography lovers; it's a piece of history told in these walls. When your visit is done, don't miss the couscous on the rooftop terrace restaurant! It's a very good restaurant with a beautiful view!

The museum terrace restaurant is nice, start from the top midday with some tea and lunch and make your way down the three floors. Good collection ! Photos donated by Nicholas Mueller(from Hungary)’s daughter was interesting, so is the documentary on Trekking in the early period seeing barbares in the Atlas mountains. I was most surprised by the varied genetic phenotypes in their faces. Some intense stares from those faces coming back at you. I loved it!

A small collection of beautiful photography. A place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has a very nice rooftop terrace overlooking the whole city, where we ate one of the tastiest tagines. The entrance fee allows you to return as many times as you want, so we returned again just for the food.

The museum itself is beautiful, housed in a converted riad. It features incredible historictic photographs, short biographies of photographers, and information about the variety of photographic processes and the history of photography. The room of polychrome photos was especially stunning.

Gorgeous spot. Watched the sun set from their terrace before heading to their collection. Small but you can feel a great pride in what they have collected. Staff also is very happy to share, and it’s a beautiful break from the medina madness.

An interesting look into the history of Morocco and photographers who documented it. Tickets are cheap and there's free WiFi and a cafe on the top floor. Good place to kill an hour or two.

The rooftop terrace is a big plus. Spend around 45 minutes to look att pictures and read about it. Then enjoy a glass of lemon-mint juice on the terrace. Save your ticket to come back another day.

The view from the top roof is nice. They have a nice collection of Moroccan photography, I liked the portraits in particular. The staff at the front desk wasn't very welcoming, not sure whether it was because I came 45min before closing. If you are not in to photography I'd give it a miss.

A beautiful small museum, definitely worth checking out if you like old cultural photographs. Leave room for lunch or a cup of mint tea and enjoy it on their terrace rooftop with wonderful views of the city.

Nice museum with fantastic photo between the 1910 to 1950 of Morroco people (portrait) and locations mainly Fez and Marrakech. You must get to the roof to have a drink and a nice view.

Some interesting old photos of marrakech and the surrounding area, and some amazing portraits. If you're into photography, worth a visit for that. If not, worth a visit for the lovely restaurant on the top floor. Genuinely one of the best meals we had in Marrakech.

The photographs are very interesting, you'll spend some time here but be sure to go up to the roof for lunch, or tea, whatever because the view is amazing! Public restroom here on the first floor is large and well maintained.

Cool little photo museum with lots of photos of Morocco from the early 1900s. It's interesting to see how things looked way back when... Some things are way different, others are not. Jemaa el fna is surprisingly similar ha. There's also a lot of nice old portraiture of Berber people and women in traditional Moroccan attire. Really cool. Rooftop terrace for tea or coffee when you're done exploring the museum.

Some great photos of the past but strangely only through a European's eyes. Feels quite colonial and orientalist in it's approach. Nevertheless worth half an hour of browsing.

I really enjoyed this gallery of photography. I’m a photographer myself and found the exhibits really original. The gallery is very well priced. They also have good quality archive prints available. We enjoyed and tea on the rooftop terrace with and amazing very of the Madina.

If you're into photographs, you may appreciate this more than I did. Some of them were OK, but I most enjoyed the video about Morocco back in the day. I only went to the museum because I'd been suckered into a tannery tour and I was in the neighborhood.

The museum show different kind of old photographs taken in Morocco around the 19th-20th century. There are photos on 3 different floors, which ends on a small terrace which gives a nice view of the medina. Also there is a small shop where you can buy snacks and cold drinks. Also the tickets can be used multiple times if you’d need a break from the crowded medina. The museum is located on the edge of the safe part of the medina. Be aware that some locals are try to mislead you and ask for money for it.
