No lack of Moroccan culture in this museum. Everything from the architecture to the music playing will take you through the history of this wonderful city. I consider this place a gem because it was nearly entirely empty when I visited, giving me the freedom to enjoy the background music of the oud and the art around me unobstructed.

A bit funky much like everything here in Marrakesh. It has the level of artifacts and detail I was expecting in the palaces and tombs (those places have nothing, it's more about the building and the grounds). If you're short on time it's not necessary to see all the palaces, just the major one. It will give you the best idea of what the rest are about. The tombs are about the same. If you get a guide you'll get more details.

Nice mueseum small but we'll appointed going through the history of morroco and a few art exhibits. Small little cafe at the entrance and it's somewhere you can relax before getting back out into the hustle and bustle within a 100 yards or so of the school and the photography mueseum. Sadly no exhibits have English translations.

An absolutely spectacular example of pure Islamic architecture. Well worth the visit and 50dm entry. The café is also a sanctuary of peace for anyone tiring of the noise and constant attention in the souks. You don't have to buy a museum ticket to use the café. Some of the peripheral rooms need some maintenance and the actual content is not extensive although interesting all the same. But the building! Whatever you do don't forget to look up. The ceilings are spectacular too.

Good building to see but not much of a museum - some random painting without context. Nevertheless the building itself is beautiful

Nice museum. The artifacts is not that great but the building is very nice. 40 Dhs to enter.

The museum building itself is very beautiful with its mosaics and doors. But this architecture is to find in a lot of (cheaper!) places in this town (like the Palais Bahia). The entrance fee of 50Dh (ca. 5€) is ridiculous, since the exhibition is very poor and only in French. It is just a bunch of pictures with no real visible theme. Very disappointing! 2 Stars only for architecture

There is an amazing courtyard here. The exhibits are not put together well. A bit disjointed. Little English used.

Peaceful place with traditional music played by women. They don’t have any entry fee, but want a donation for the woman of 20dh, with I thing is valuable.

The museum worth a visit. It contains some very nice pieces of art. The atmosphere is charming and appealing.

Very poor, 50 dhs is completely unjustified (they charge you separately to use the toilets) all signs are in French which is frustrating as this is supposed to be the main museum of Marrakech so you would have thought they would accommodate all nationalities particularly English speaking.. definitely one to avoid - glorified art gallery at best where they are trying to sell the art on display

nice museum with their colture and beautiful cration made of tiles. nice contrasts and pictures took inside of the museum. there are toilets and bar. some entrance fee and nice people who work there

The building itself is beautiful, but the content of the museum is very poor. Everything is not taken care of, the explanations are a printed A4, which gives a very run down feeling. Yes, it is a nice building, but not worth 50dhm when you can go to the Bahia palace for example, much bigger and prettier for just 10dhm.

A very nice Museum. The beautiful architecture, woodwork and objects are cast with modern paintings making it a great visit. The courtyard itself is a fantastic must see visit. It has great tile patterns and a central chandelier-lantern that will change your life! All the info is in French unfortunately for non speakers.

Beautiful architecture but the art is neither here nor there. Worth it for taking pictures of the main room and should you actually enjoy it and would like to go again then you can reuse it your tickets because there are no dates or times on them.

The building is very beautiful! Sadly all the information is in french so I couldn't understand anything. Entrance was 50 Dhs for adults and 30 Dhs for children.
