Jungle Island, formerly Parrot Jungle, is a relaunched eco-adventure park on Watson Island, Miami, Florida, United States. The park is re-opened following a series of major renovations after the park incurred damage from Hurricane Irma. The park features new pop-up waterslides, an outdoor wind tunnel flight experience, zip lines, escape rooms, a Nerf battle stadium and other attractions.
Originally named Parrot Jungle, it was moved from its original suburban location in Pinecrest, Florida to its present location just east of downtown Miami and after the site was purchased for Pinecrest Gardens in 2002. It was renamed as Parrot Jungle Island. In 2007, the park was again renamed to Jungle Island.

Animals are not ours to use nor abuse. We are mammals. They are mammals. They birds who were dinosaurs. We all are fish walking and talking. No animal should a slave of another nor a circus act. There are much better things to admire for beauty in nature wild and free not caged. Like the orangutan here far her indonesian home. A travesty of a business.

I bought the year pass and only ended up going once. It was cool to pet the kangaroos but it became obvious the more I walked around how small the cages were for large cats and primates, like depressingly small. Like the other comments where people call them "prisons" really arent exaggerating. The show with the birds was fun, but again the unhappiness of the animals really bothered me.

Go for the animals , they need the support and money from us . However go on a full stomach , those restaurants and kiosks are independently run, and contribute nothing to the animals . I’m spending my money on good causes only

This will be my last awful zoo/sanctuary experience. The animals did not look well looked after and most looked depressed. Please research into a place before visiting as this place just seemed to want to make money displaying exotic animals rather then conserve the animals. I will not make that mistake again.

Family, couple or just by yourself, Jungle island is certainly an adventure. It's fun, it's involved, and all the animals looks happy and ready to greet you!

We went there couple times, most of animals are in cells with a fine mesh, so it’s hardly to take a photo of them and see them clearly. Parrots at the entrance are always photogenic 🤳🏼

Great staff Kids loves this place. God bless you all in Jesus name.

Lots of beautiful parrots and all the animals looked very healthy. I enjoyed carrying the small alligator and the shows were fun. However, be sure not to buy food at the zoo because prices are very high, go on a full stomach. We will certainly visit again.

My daughter and I visited here last minute and we were NOT disappointed! The sloth encounter was amazing! Mama and baby fed cucumbers from the sticks we held. Unlimited photos and you can pet them!! The staff were amazing and Ryan was a sweetheart coming and chatting us up to insure we enjoyed our time there . Our tour guide Rebecca was amazing too and she knew her stuff .This place is a must see!!

Went Memorial Day Weekend. We got lucky because the rain gave us a break and it was a beautiful day out with the a nice breeze. The bird show was very entertaining. We hung out with the Kangaroos and than enjoyed lunch. Our tour guide told us they are adding a water park with all kinds of entertainment.

Awesome experience! We loved the kangaroos and birds. The bird show was the best I've ever seen. It will be amazing when construction is done a

This is an amazing facility. Staff was friendly and let me interact with a baby camel. The bird shows were truly 110% best tourist shows in America. And I got to see my first Liger! The enclosures cold be a bit bigger as a helpful suggestion for the future. The Canadian Lynx or bobcat looked very stressed in his small cage and was visibly growling and upset. Also I my credit card got double charged in the gift shop. Which they fixed but still took up my time was annoying. I love the free flying parrots. I saw a blue parrot which I think is very well. To be honest with you I'm glad I found this place on my vacation was certainly alot more friendly and enjoyable than some of the stuck up garbage people I met in Miami and South Beach some people were very nice but many of the people in Miami seem to pride themselves on being extremely rude and undeservedly elitist.

VIP tour with Ryan, worth every penny. During construction you can get their $500/600 tour for $300. You won't be disappointed. You really get a 1:1 experience with the animals. The only people on your tour are you and your guide. You get to touch, feed and learn about the most amazing animals. Ryan is a must! He knows all the animals and their origin stories. It's obvious that the animals know and love him based on how excited they are to see him. Ryan also knows tons of awesome animal facts and creates a personalized tour based on what you are interested in. I would caution against very young children going on the tour as it would be difficult for them to stay calm during the animal interactions. You do get to touch and feed the animals and containing that level of joy can be hard.

Went there today with my kids. Good for all ages. Massive water slides, really cool ambiance. Feels like summer in the jungle. We had fun. Kids loved it and grow ups too. Can’t wait to try the wind tunnel and zip line!

Great Park! I love taking my dogs here. They have large and small breed section so it helps my little guys not get stressed. They keep the park pretty clean.

They have a petting area, where you can feed the goats. My daughter loved it. They are still making improvements. But if you enjoy taking your kids for a learning day out , this is a nice place to go. Has plenty of shade and shows. They have parrots and monkeys a large tortoise. They have an area for the kids to get wet with slides. Definetly look into mosquito season before going so you can enjoy yourself.

The park was good! Still missing a few animals after the hurricane last year but the combination of animals and water park for the kids was great! The one thing that impressed me more than anything was the staff. Everyone was so helpful and willing to do anything they could to ensure that we had the best time possible!! Great experience and we will be back.

It's okay. Good for free hours only. The water slides are very basic, nothing fancy. They are inflatable. When we went, one out.of two wasn't even working. Bird show was good. Rest was all mediocre.
