The Miami Seaquarium is a 38-acre (15 ha) oceanarium located on the island of Virginia Key in Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States and is located near downtown Miami.
Founded in 1955, it is one of the oldest oceanariums in the United States. In addition to marine mammals, the Miami Seaquarium houses fish, sharks, sea turtles, birds, reptiles, and manatees. The park offers daily presentations and hosts overnight camps, events for boy scouts, and group programs. Over 500,000 people visit the facility annually. The park has around 225 employees, and its lease payments and taxes make it the third-largest contributor to Miami-Dade County's revenue.

Incredible experience for the whole family. Many different species of aquatic life to sea. The park was extremely clean & well maintained. Staff we're very helpful & dressed very professional. Restroom areas we're very clean & maintained. Wildlife is incredibly active throughout the park. Upon strolling through expect to see plenty of birds, lizards, & iguanas as funny as it sounds strolling freely through the park. The park offers plenty of incredible photo opportunities. This particular aquarium boasted 3+ food & beverage locations all with very fair food portions & pricing. Nothing truly negative to say here. Just a very fun outting for the whole family. The only frustration I truly experienced was being bombarded by P.e.t.a members at the exit. I do not see there reason for being there as all animals we're very well taken care of & seemed happy as ever.

We did this as a very special birthday present for our son. Spent $350 to get to hang out with dolphins for 30 minutes (My son, myself, and my husband observing). Thought this was a private one on one thing for the cost. Ended up spending 30 minutes with 4 groups of people, 5 to 8 people in each group, taking turns. Got to feed the dolphin 1 fish, shake it's hand (fin), give it a kiss, get a picture taken with it jumping behind us, touch it's back, and see it's eye, blow hole, and ear up close. At the end, the photos were not included. They cost $95 for each book OR I think $160 (got a discount ha ha) for both his and mine. We could choose to have only the online pics for $120 (or around there). Very expensive for what we got. Otherwise, the park was pretty good, but kind of small. Favorite things were the sting rays and the killer whale, but I'm hoping they have somewhere bigger for them to go to sometimes. Otherwise, that would be pretty sad.

Great experience here. I was kind of unsure going, noting some of the past reviews, but I am so glad we did! The staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. All of the shows were excellent and fun. My 8 and 5 year old absolutely loved this place. Yes, the facilities are a bit outdated but everything else about this place makes up for that. I thought it was well worth the money paid.

I had a wonderful time visiting the Miami Seaquarium, lots of cute sea animals, but our favorite was seeing the dolphins up close by the windows. What a treat that was! You typically only get to see fishes, but there were about 3 of them and they swam around and were SO cute!! The shows were also really good, very entertaining.

Very worth the four stars! The shows are very well and organized. The animals like really well treated and healthy. This is a top place if you like the marine shows with dolphins and sea lions. I highly recommend specially if you have kids. Nevertheless, I have been to many such a places (US and Europe) and this is very high in the cost / benefit scale. Everything is overpriced. Everything. I know it is costly to maintain such a a large facility, but here it is at least twice the price of Europe. Food is not so great, staff no so polite, and yet you pay a small fortune for lunch. Price of pictures are incredibly expensive. Go if you enjoy this type of activity, but be warned.

Great place, specially for families. Went there with my best friend. Would recommend going before 12 pm as most shows start around this time . The only downside is how expensive the tickets are, plus you pay an extra 10 for parking. Best show on the day is the Killer whale show and also the top deck dolphins show. Will definitely come again with my family this time

Great place to visit. Cost about $200 for two adults and three kids, but it was a great way to kill 6 hrs before our flight back home. The food was not the best, so I recommend eating before the visit. The dolphin and killer whale shows are one of a kind.

We went here around 3 years ago during Christmas time. It was a nice experience to spend the day here. Interesting shows by dolphins and other fish. I also loved the colorful birds peacock and various parrots. Overall a nice place.

Miami seaquarium is a very nice place in America and it is located in Miami. It is a fabulous place and many types of shows are shown there. When I went there, I saw a huge 🐋 getting balanced on a platform as it is in the photo we sent it was a fantastic place and I loved it really as much as I can it was fabulous and was great to balance just a 🐋 just on a smooth and very small flat form. It was a very beautiful place when I went there and it was very awesome. I loved it as much as I can and I'm still loving it here

Fun time with the kiddies for Easter! So much to do and many shows to enjoy. Lolita did her thing. You can tell she's well kept and not abused. I loved the news black and white dolphins. So cute, fast, and agile 😄🎉✔️

My wife, my 8yr and 5yr kids and myself did the Dolphin Discovery program. Awesome opportunity to interact with them, very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Would have rated it a 5-star experience were it not for the extremely unpleasant final surprise. They charge as much for the pictures as for the whole experience (as in: want the pics? You are going to have to pay again for it).

Soooooo amazing!! I was truly fascinated by this place, it was fun, educative, engaging, interactive and worth the time. I appreciate what they are doing to help these animals. This is what human using their skills, energy and time to steward this earth and encourage others to do the same. I enjoyed myself, I would do it again and spend a longer time.

We enjoyed the diversity and variety of sea animals at this aquarium! We come from Utah so we were able to experience lots of new species here, which was awesome for our 2 1/2 year old! She was impressed with every single exhibit. Huge manatees, dolphins, killer whales, small sharks, large turtles, flamingos, beautiful macaws, and a huge aquarium FULL of different kinds of smaller fish. We loved that the aquarium offers shows, like the dolphin show. It was incredible and so fun to watch. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean. The price was reasonable and worth it. There are food stands spread throughout the park. Stroller friendly. There is a splash pad for the kids. The only reason for not rating this 5 stars is because we found it slightly difficult to find things without using the map. The signs aren’t big enough or clear enough to just walk through and find the exhibits on your own. Otherwise this place is awesome and we’d definitely recommend it.

I have the annual pass and have a great time every time I go. I did the seal swim on 5-9-18 at 1:45pm and it was an amazing experience. Kane the seal is so cute and fun. The employees were all so nice, informative and helpful. My only minor complaint was that the pictures that you take should be included with the seal swim package or you should be able to just buy whatever pics you like best. Other than that I had a phenomenal day with the seals!

Lots of great things to see. My favorite was the Manatees! The Manatee keeper chatted with us and shared a lot of information about the manatees that live at the Seaquarium. I would definitely go back and do one of the experiences where you interact with the animals. Also, seemed very kid-friendly with multiple play areas and shows, as well as kid-friendly teaching signs.

Get down there now to see the baby manatee! The knowledgeable and friendly manatee keeper is a gem too. Overall, it's a fun place for kids to visit and play for an afternoon. Be sure to bring their water wear so they can take full advantage of the water play areas, including splash pad and slides. Little kids will have a blast. Older kids will enjoy the dolphin show, seal encounter, and penguin exhibit. They might notice that the aquarium could use a bit of TLC. The water quality could be better -- some tanks have hair algae, and the exhibits could be re-designed to highlight educational content in a more engaging way. Overall, it's well worth the admission price, especially if you take advantage of one of their many discount offers.

Miami Seaquarium is well designed and particularly made for fishes ,rare fishes, giant fishes and off course little colorful fishes. It has made in large area and has got particular show stages and timings. The dolphin and blue whale show was outstanding. You need to pay for admission and if you are eager to pay for under water diving and encounters you need to pay extra fees like $99 per head but the staff will train you nicely even if you’re non swimmer. Be aware of iguanas there ,as they roam freely here and there they might under your feet😀 it open till 5:30 pm

I took my son and spent the extra $10 per person for the summer special. Wish I didn't spend the extra. It is a nice place but no in door area to cool off, a lot is under construction and closed. They take souvenir photos when you come in the Gates, ours couldn't be found when we were leaving. Parking is $10 Cash ONLY, that's fine just happy I had cash on me that day. I normally don't. It's a pretty small place for the price.

It was really hot when we went. Other than the restaurant everything is outside or open air to the outside. Make sure to bring sunblock and be ready with something to cool down if you stay long. Parking was $5 and general admission ~$46. If you are in Miami more than just a day the multi attraction pass allows you to visit a couple parks in the area for ~$60. The park is but old but still decent. The best part of the park is the shows. They were pretty entertaining and fun to watch.

Overall: Utterly depressing. Not worth the money. It is definitely educational. So if you bring time and patience, there are a lot of educational displays etc. teaching in a very interesting and interactive way. Loved that piece. BUT. But the animal exhibits have clearly seen better times. So not state of the art. The way the dolphins, penguins, manatees etc. are kept appears so cruel it should be illegal. Just some relatively VERY tiny concrete pools and basins. Nothing even trying to resemble their natural habitat. Looking into the tanks, you cannot see anything clearly unless it swims right up to the glass. Really, really sad.

Went there with our 5 & 7 year old on Sunday. Watched all the main shows. Saw all the exhibits. Did the playground and ropes course and we maxed out the park in 5 hours. It made for a decent family outing. We have Summer Savings tickets (unlimited passes to most of the big parks in South Florida), so it was worth it. But I definitely wouldn't pay full ticket price (around $180 for a family of four) for a day in the park.
