Le colonne di San Lorenzo sono un'antica costruzione di epoca tardo romana di Milano situate di fronte alla basilica omonima in prossimità della porta Ticinese medievale. Esse rappresentano uno dei rari reperti superstiti della Milano imperiale.

The Colonne di San Lorenzo or Columns of San Lorenzo is a group of ancient Roman ruins, located in front of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in central Milan. The Columns lies in a zone with limited traffic. One of the oldest one of the oldest Roman remains that are still in a good condition. Photogenic place.

If you like columns like I do, I would NOT miss these columns. Gave 4/5 stars only because I have seen better. But these ones are up there in my favourite columns of all time

This place is live and beautiful, Italians sit on the ground on weekends nights. They drink, sing, dance and smoke 🙂. There are a lot of bars nearby that would be crowded on weekends too.

Close to Naviglio where you can eat some pizza and ice cream. Than in the evening are coming a lot of people. Drink, eat, dance!

While you are walking in the centre of Milan you arrive at this empty space that was filled by a big church. The columns are the only memory of that church. The atmosphere can be magic. The area is also full of typical restaurants where you can take your lunch or dinner and take a moment to review this beautiful city.
