Beautiful privat collection with very interesting art pieces. The well known picture of Martin Luther and his friend is here. Some surprisingly beautiful jewels. Nice place to visit. Friendly and professional staff. A perle of my Milan tour.💖

This is one of those hidden treasures of the city, an incredible art collection located on Via Manzoni, near the Teatro alla Scala. The museum was established at the end of the 18th century and was originally the residence of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, an avid art collector. Beside the paintings, including several masterpieces, there is an unusual collection of mechanical and solar time-pieces and many interesting artifacts including the “Persian hunting carpet”. Don’t miss this incredible collection! This very well hidden gem is worth a trip to Milan! you'll find extremely rare armours, fine clocks, unique paintings by the most famous Italian artists, from Mantegna to Botticelli! You'll admire fine samples of furniture and old rugs, extremely refined sculptures and the whole house is a grand example of the top Italian culture! And being not crowded allows you to appreciate it even more. My daughter and I stayed for almost 4 hours, with a lunch break (we could leave and re-enter the building) and enjoyed very minute of it! Tip of the place: get the audio guide, it's only 1,5 euros and surely worth it!!!

Extraordinary collection, well organized and thoroughly described in both Italian and English. Set aside at least two hours to enjoy the artworks.

It feels very special to visit the partially preserved private apartments of the rich 19th century Milanese nobelman Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli. He built up an amazing collection of priceless pieces of art, including two Botticelli's and a piece by Raphael. Currently there is also a contemporary exhibition of Meissen porcelain ongoing with some very impressive pieces such as the white Lion and the Forbidden Fruits. If you have time to spend, you can easily use three hours for the museum but it can also be visited as part of an afternoon in about 90 minutes.

Amazing museum filled with an amazing variety of different pieces. From some of the most intricate sculptures and beautiful paintings. Extremely reasonable admission fee for a fantastic collection. Really loved the small figurines which were extremely delicate ans beautifully crafted.
