The Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate (in French language: Cathédrale de Notre-Dame-Immaculée), but sometimes called Saint Nicholas Cathedral (name of the old church which was demolished in 1874), or Monaco Cathedral (French: Cathédrale de Monaco), is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Monaco in Monaco-Ville, Monaco, where many of the Grimaldis were buried, including Grace Kelly and—more recently—Rainier III.
The cathedral was built in 1875–1903 and consecrated in 1911, and is on the site of the first parish church in Monaco built in 1252 and dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Of note are the retable (circa 1500) to the right of the transept, the Great Altar and the Episcopal throne in white Carrara marble.

This is a beautiful cathedral and the final resting place of Princess Grace. The mosaic of St. Nicholas is breathtaking as well.

Nice little cathedral on a hill in Monaco where Princess Grace and her husband, Prince Ranier are both buried. Not as large as many other cathedrals we have seen in Europe but we'll worth a view if you are in Monaco.

Pretty church, especially for architecture lovers due to its Romenesque / Revival style. I took a couple of photos to share its beauty with others, but taking pictures is officially forbidden up in here (which is a pity because the ambient purple lighting makes would make the photographies spectacular).

Beautiful The Cathedral is really beautiful from the Inside and the Outside. While visiting Monaco, we had no real agenda. We were just walking around the whole place and we came across the Cathedral and it didn't disappoint. The architecture is beautifully done and the Cathedral itself gives off a calming feel

A nice surprise to the day excursion from the cruise ship. We were lucky to be there early enough to see the interior of the church without so much hassle. No entrance fees too...a rarity among the tourist spots. Considering it is also the resting place of the late Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco. I was surprised to see how simple it was.
