Highly recommended. We spent at least 2 hours here. Very interesting place. The owner (I think his name was Jorge) spoke with us personally and was very informative.
Very interesting musuem about crazy historical event. The owner is personaly implicated and explains a lot about the story.
Superbly laid out museum. Respectful to the victims and stories of survival.
Fantastically interesting museum - needs at least 2 hours
One of the best museums in MVD, very moving and well curated.
This museum tells the story of the plane crashed in the Andes in 1973 and how several passengers were able to survive in spite of overwhelming odds. This small museum is very well done and gives insight into the challenges and innovation it took to survive.
This museum will give you a completely different and inspiring perspective on life, through the incredible story of survival and relentless hope. It was a major highlight for me in Montevideo and I recommend it to anyone who has the chance to see it. This museum is dedicated to the story depicted in "Alive" and shares thought-provoking and touching displays of people surviving the unthinkable.
Awesome museum in the heart of old Montevideo. Really cool story about a rugby team that have a plane crash in the Andes and have to wait more than seventy days in a frozen valley. They have to resort to eating their dead friends, a truly harrowing story of hope and human survival.
