Great idea to visit the Old Bridge and old town. Only 2 hours from Split or Dubvronik. Incredible presence of the Ottomans. Great food, friendly people. Roads not too good, drive during the day

It is an amazing destination. The old city is extremely beautiful. There are many small and very nice restaurants. The bridge which is in UNESCO heritage is very beautiful and very nice pictures can be done. During the day a group of courageous young men jump off the bridge. A small amount of money is requested for the jump. During the night the lights make the old city to seem magical. Enjoy! God bless you!

Great historical bridge in the centre of Mostar. It is fun watching the professional divers jump off the bridge. This old bridge was build by the Turkish empire and destroyed by Croatians in 1995. It was completely rebuilt and reopened in 2004. There is many good places to get a good view of the bridge.

It's the cutest city I have ever visited. All the rock streets, the colorful houses and little stores, it's so nice. Has lots of restaurants and bars, and also some clubs. I visited on summer, and really loved it!

A highlight of my time in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Stare Most is even more beautiful than it appears in photo's and the surrounding streets of the Old Bazaar are just lovely. I only had limited time in Mostar but I'd love to return and explore further. I highly recommend visiting the Bridge and Mostar in general.

South Bosnias biggest attraction. Pro tip: If you are in a group, you can pay 100 BAM to the diveclub to see a jump. They have their office in the tower in the one end og the bridge.

The view was spectacular both from below and above. We got to see a diver jump off the bridge as well which was kinda cool. They do collect money before they jump. We went at the end of April but already it was almost impossible to move on the streets near the bridge. The restaurants looked amazing and almost all had a magnificent view. The only great downside was the trash. There was garbage everywhere on the river bank and near the bridge. Either add more bins or clean them regularly. If you don't look down its quite an experience :D

This is a pretty bridge. It is a recreation of the original bridge that stood here for a long time. During the war in 1992-1995 it was destroyed unfortunately. You can frequently see people jumping from the bridge into the water. Great place to take pictures as well, try this around dusk or Dawn as there are less people walking on it.

If you can witness one of the jumps off the bridge, it is amazing! Wouldn't recommend jumping though. Great views from underneath, local cafes, and from the bridge itself. Not the best place to bring a stroller or wheelchair.

Beautiful and serene place. The water is clear with a greenish tint. The thing I love about this is that it's not crowded at all so it's a great place to take many photos. I went there in April and the weather was just nice - not too cold with just a little bit of wind. People are also very friendly and nice.

Beautiful town with an abundance of history. Definitely worth the visit. If you go in the summer, it's quite hot. But bring something to cover your shoulders if you plan on visiting any of the religious sites.

Amazing view that you can appreciate more on its history. Just be mindful when you walk around especially when crossing the bridge. It can be slippery. In the ancient time, the bridge was used for horses rather than designing for human to cross. That is why the stopper to avoid slippery is big as it fit horses feet.

Before you go to Mostar, make sure you check out some pics from the era of war. It'll give you a new perspective on the city and people. They've really come far in just under 25 years (that's why the signs "Never forget" and "All gave some, some gave all")... As for the bridge, it's really beautiful but waaay to many people for my taste. It reminded me of Venice. Also, be careful, the bridge is very slippery. If the weather is nice you'll also see people jumping from the bridge (for the money of course) :)

This bridge is stunning to look at and cross. It’s surprisingly steep. The polished stone surface can be a little bit slippery, even in dry weather. Be sure to see the bridge from below too. The arches frame the houses on the hillside beautifully.

The bridge was absolutely beautiful too look at an cross during the day, an it was great to see people jump off into the water from such a great height. However they charged a lot of money before jumping from the bridge. Although the bridge itself was very nice it was littered with tourists making it hard to walk and get around. Overall a great experience with a few negatives.

It's as touristy as it gets but the bridge was just magnificent and so beautiful at night with the lighting. This is the main attraction to get people to come visit Mostar. Note the divers only take action after soliciting at least 25 Euros before one of the younger divers takes the plunge. The old coots in speedos were just the pitchmen, and in no way shape or form to do any kinds of diving.

Must see if you're anywhere near. The stones tou walk on to cross the bridge are very polished so take your time and stepping on the raised blocks may help a bit. Very compact streets steeped in history from the relatively recent to very ancient. If you haven't tried the local 'pie' this is worth checking out spinach and cheese was a favourite for us.

Mostar's a beautiful place. Pretty touristic, like most beautiful places when they become known. The main attraction's the "Dare devil bridge" (photo attached) although the whole town is beautiful, mainly the old town. Very nice people. Throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina you can still feel the impact of the not so distant war. Tourism is helping to raise the spirits. And Bosnia and Herzegovina is well worth a visit, specially Mostar!

There is no doubt that this is a really fascinating historical place to visit but if you can possibly visit off season it will be infinitely more pleasant. There were SO many tourists the bridge was almost invisible under a sea of people. The beautiful old streets are crammed with stall after stall of tat which again detracts from the amazing architecture and history. And beware of the pickpockets. I had my purse stolen out of my cross body bag.

A truly beautiful spot. An amazing bridge. There are even some boys who will jump off it if you pay them some money. Streets are full of stalls and places to eat. Everyone is friendly and they don't pester you to buy the goods. If you hunt around you can find some rare and interesting items.

I was extremely surprised. Barely knew anything about it apart from the fact there was a bridge. Once I was there I saw the small shops and restaurants around it and felt in love. We planned making a quick stop and taking some pictures but ended up staying almost 3 hours.
