Olympiahalle is a multi-purpose arena located in Am Riesenfeld in Munich, Germany, part of Olympiapark. The arena is used for concerts, sporting events, exhibitions or trade fairs. The seating capacity for the arena varies from 12,150 up to 14,000.
The park was good fun. We had some food by the lake and all the ducks, geese and swans came over to try and eat our food which was very funny. We went to the Olympic tower which amazing. The views from the top were brilliant and you can see all of Munich. This is a good photo opportunity but it gets cold up there. There's also lots of interesting stuff about rock music in the cafe with an old fashion duke box to play on. It was €7 per adult which is okay. I would recommend this experience.
I love it 😍😍😍. It's so nice there both in summer and in winter. In summer you can go jog outdoor or do a picnic or just enjoy the nice weather. Perfect place for children (many fun thing to do as you go through the park). Since I train there for the past 5 years I was very often with my family outside. You can also visit the swimming pool. Or just go sightseeing. Make sure you are dressed perfectly for pictures because you'll make for sure some.
Some Olympic parks become abandoned and waste away over time. Not this one ... it is popular, well maintained, and worth a visit. The pool, famous for the 1972 swimming records made there, is open to the public for a small fee. For a small fee you can go up the Olympic Tower for a panoramic view of the Munich area. There is also a restaurant at the top of this tower that slowly rotates.
A man made park which is beautiful all throughout the year. Summer is when most of the big events happen. There is the summer night's dream concert and the summer Tollwood, the 2 week summer carnival complete with outdoor cinema and rides. Then there's the beautiful scenery and temperate weather ideal for picnics and just reading a book under a shade of a tree. There is always something fun to do in Olympiapark for people of all ages. It's a must visit.
Nice place to hang out. Has a nice small lake (with friendly ducks there) and peaceful surroundings. Also do go up the hill to get a nice overview of the city, preferably towards evening.
Very nice venue. It's been really well maintained since the Olympic games and it has a variety of activities that you can partake in, especially in the summer. Definitely work a visit if you are in the area. I recommend going up the tower too. Really impressive views of Munich!
Fantastic place for a walk or picnic! The park is clean and well kept, has plenty of activities and food stalls and is easily accessible with public transport. There are plenty of ducks and geese walking around which are harmless from my experience, but if you have young children or dogs keep an eye on them.
Great to see and easy to find via underground. Went one evening from Munich for a lovely wander round the grounds. Worth going up the motte for fantastic views all round. Free entry.. another bonus!
A must-go when you are in Munich. A lot of historical importance. Even if it's constructed in the '70 the condition is excellent. The Olimpian Tower is in the park. Also it's really close to the BMW world and museum.
