Great place if you like activities sych as mountain biking or offroading. It also gives you access to Muriwai beach, which is just a beautiful and untouched stretch of the coastline.
Great trails but not as many as in the past due to logging. Best riding is after rain or in Winter
Trails are great, the guys put heaps of effort into the configuration and maintenance. Good hot chocolate too!
Awesome afternoon ride. Trails a lot of fun and great to see a lot of riders out on a semi rainy day. Being sand base trails very rideable for winter will be back with friends for more fun.
Great place to go mountain biking. They have upgraded the tracks and is even better. The staff are really helpfull and friendly. We have done the tree adventures which i highly recommend doing.
Really nice place with great tall trees, with masses of open space, and things to do like Tree Adventures, or the Mountain Bike track. Bit of a drive if you're not local, but well worth it. We went to Tree Adventures, and had a lot of fun there. Nice place to take your dog for a walk, just be prepared for a bumpy drive from the road to the center of the forest. Good place with lots of activities. Bookings are essential, though.
What a cool spot! Theres plenty of opportunity for activity in here ranging from mountain bike riding, horse riding, dog walking, swimming, having a picnic and much much more. On the day that I went, I took the dog for a nice long walk first through the forest and then finishing walking along muriwai Beach. The paths fairly well marked out and maintained. I will be back to check out more of this site soon!
Fun trails catering to most types of ride styles, skillsets and fitness levels. Been coming here for almost 20 years and still not bored. Would get 5 stars if there was a downhill course and a chair lift.
A great place to go biking. The trails here seem better maintained and more rideable than the average but I suppose this is due to it being a dedicated park which one pays for rather than a community thing. Only downside is it seems a little out of the way location wise. But certainly worth the trip. $10 gets you in for the day which I think is very reasonable.
