Nice historical fort. Must check high tide and low tide timing before planning visit. Can walk all the way to fort during low tide.also horse cart available on beach who cannot walk. You need at least 1 hour to see the fort
Amazing place Entry ticket : 15₹ One can take a boat while high tide When low tide during 10:00am-1pm one can walk or take a horse cart till the fort Their are are points to view and also the fort is not much damaged .Takes only 2-3 hours to observe completely or 1 hr for just spectating The fort is nice maintained by the locals Good when visited in summer and winter Best time is 8am-2pm
Best part... Located a short distance from the shore, in the sea, which means you can walk up to it during low tide. Great spot to watch sunset. Sad part... Very poorly maintained.
Place for family visit. A temple and broken fort. Good place for family visit. Don't expect much
One time move only. Nothing special there besides old fort surrounded by water. It can be reached easily by foot nearly after 4PM from Alibag beach. There is a temple inside fort. Some of special view of sea can be clicked.

This is the fort to which you can walk from the beach to reach it during the low tide. Be careful when the high tide is approaching. It has two main entrances, one on the sea side and the other towards Alibag. An interesting feature of this fort is that it has freshwater wells in its premises even though it is a seaside fort. In the monsoons, the fort can be reached by wading through waist-deep water at low tide. However, at high tide, boats must be used to reach it. In that fort, there are temples.
Kolaba fort in Alibag was as much fascinating as any other places. Fantastic location of this fort with magnificent boat ride to the islands, was very enjoying. The views of the fort and the ruins inside are absolutely breathtaking. Visitors generally visit this place on weekends. It's just 3 hours drive from Mumbai city worthy of weekend picnics with mind blowing spots nearby.
