One of the places more loaded with history in a city full of history. Plan to spend at least four hours contemplating the paintings and decorations in the church (where the altar is in fact nothing but... wood stucco and paper!), the sacristy and adjacent rooms, the paintings gallery, the section devoted to historical Christmas Cribs, tons of old maps of Napoli.... and, last but not least, the superb overlook of the city.

Most of this art gallery is closed for restauration. We were very disappointed as it is a spectacular place. You can visit some rooms but most of the downstairs galleries were closed when we visited (Feb 2018).

The place, located just under the castle of Sant'Elmo, offers a wide focus on Neapolitan history and culture, from many points of view. Here are exposed and satisfactorily described models of real ships from various epoques, as well as fantastic paintings and sculptures; in this museum are also exposed operas from the perhaps greatest Neapolitan tradition,, the "Presepe". Nonetheless there is a fantastic garden, with a view on Castel dell'Ovo and Lungomare Caracciolo.

Overwhelmingly beautiful church and monastic complex filled with outstanding fresco cycles, an impressive cloister filled with some of the most impressive sculpture of the 16th century, along with a collection and exhibition of wonderful artworks. Great panoramic view of the city as well.

Excellent monument of medieval and Renaissance culture and architecture. You have to buy a ticket to get in. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

It was ok, nothing special. Great view, but many parts were closed. Unfortunately everything is only in Italian and it was the only museum in Naples without any maps or schemes for tourists with at least some explanations

Gorgeous place with a fantastic view of Naples and the islands.

Very nice place and it was only €6. A lot of religious artwork. There is also a "garden" in the back that looks over the city and ocean.

Too expensive for the place. It's a museum consisting of photo galleries of 18th and 19th century. You have a nice view of the city and the mountains surrounding it. Please open Wikipedia and read to understand the place instead of buying the audio guide. Iould recommend this place only if you have nothing else to do in your to do items.

Impossibly huge museum, but not really for me. Lots of the rooms and spaces were closed or off limits due to repairs.
