Le Musée du Trésor de San Gennaro (en italien : Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro) est un musée de Naples, dont l'entrée est située à côté du Duomo et de la chapelle du Trésor.
I'm a local, living in a little town distant a few km from Naples and this Musem. I'm 44 years old and i did feel ashamed for viewing such a beauty only after so much time. The treasure kept in this Museum is amazing and San Gennaro is one of the most iconic figure of Naples. After my visit i started to understand better why. I suggest to visit the museum with a guide, for me made a huge difference. Without a guide, may be you don't fully understand the meaning of the exposed masterpieces that melt with the mystery and glory of this Saint.
Small museum represents to your attention mostly artifacts of sacred art.
Amazing treasures, what a master calls workmanship!
very interesting tour!amazing jewels and the guide Fabio has been very very nice and funny! thank you!
Very nice museum! A home to the amazing jewls and diamonds, made by the masters of Napoli through the centuries and donated to the church and San Gennaro, protector of the city! Inside you can find a crown (Mitra di San Gennaro) that has more than 3.000 diamonds, rubins and other jewls! Nice experience for only 5e ticket fee!
Small but outstanding collection of jewellery. The marketing campaign at the entrance (shaming the British Crown Treasure) is ridiculous and offensive. Not a must but a good artistic experience. Tour guides shouting and pushing you out of the museum rooms if they have to explain something to their customers because "you didn't pay for it"... If you can stand with these black spots and love diamonds and emeralds, try it.
