A must-visit in Nashville! This life-size replica of the Parthenon (only one in the world) is a truly magnificent place to visit. The structure lies within Centennial Park, which in and of itself is a nice place to walk (also very close to the Vanderbilt campus). The building doubles as an art museum (ticket prices and hours in my photos, with there being an unlisted student discount for $5 with valid ID) and it is definitely worth the money! The museum covers the history of both the Greek and Nashville Parthenon, and there is a spectacular gallery of paintings and Greek-inspired art. The second floor features a massive 40+ foot tall statue of Athena (the real Parthenon also had a statue of the same height) and casts of the figures that adorn the exterior of the Parthenon. Overall, a great place and I definitely recommend visiting!

Really nice park with lots of events on the go. The Parthenon is a cool experience and is bigger than expected. The park also hosts various other displays such as aircraft and trains. The park is very close to downtown therefore is an easy stop off for a picnic or sightseeing. Ample parking around the park even with a college football game going on close by. Glad I stopped by to see it during my short stay in Nashville.

The building is definitely impressive considering it is an exact replica of the original Parthenon in Greece. As a curiosity it will certainly draw you. The cost is reasonable at $6.00 and the statute of Athena is impressive to look at as your imagination can take you back to 456 BC, you imagine seeing it for the first time. They also have a collection of are work that is good. The variety is decent. Plan on at least 1 to 2 hours depending on your pace of course. If you have ever wondered the the Parthenon looks like, then this is something you will not want to miss! The information on the Parthenon itself is pretty informative as well as the history of the replica.

This replica of real Parthenon in Greece is impressive from outside. The exhibit inside was definitely worth $6.00. The park all around is wonderful but little chilly in December month. I can imagine, this must be very beautiful in spring and summer! Must visit if you are in Nashville.

I was actually blown away and shocked... that this building.. was even built. I personally do not “get it.” I would not even consider this a museum. How does this represent any history of Nashville or of US history?! Seriously? The amount of time and money put into a building like this? What a waste. I say take that huge monstrosity out of there and bring the homeless in. Or use that space for something useful and good. I think it’s sooo ridiculous and I can’t believe.... people actually thought this was a good idea! .

I've visited the Parthenon 2 times. Is it the best thing ever? Well, no, but it's just one of those places that people should visit at least once when they're in Nashville. I love looking at the artwork inside. Such beautiful paintings. We spent about 45 minutes inside looking at everything. Admission is 6 bucks. A very reasonable price. (If you don't particularly like artwork, but need to kill an hour or get out of the rain, go here.)

This was actually my favorite attraction in Nashville that didn't include music itself. The statue of Athena is awe inspiring, and there's a lot of interesting information available on the boards surrounding it. There is a small gallery of American art downstairs, and a small gift shop. Downstairs also includes a museum with artifacts and information having to do with the Parthenon itself. All in all a really cool spot, particularly for a fanatic of ancient Greek culture who has not yet made it to Greece itself (myself).

This place is pretty interesting. I used to live in Nashville and would drive by this place constantly and never thought to stop in and check it out but since I've moved to Memphis I have been a couple of times. As the name suggests there is artwork and history from that time period on display there. The surrounding area is good for walks, exercising, playing, picnics or photography. If you love history then this needs to be on your to do list.

Was very interesting. Has a lot of items from when it was built, didn't take the tour but got to listen in to the tour leader as she spoke about the main statue. Has a general art gallery in the lower level with a lot of older pieces, not much with modern art or anstract pieces. Everything is well kept. Price is very fair. There's not a whole lot to do here so you can stop by and look at everything in an hour or less.

One of my favorite stops on our trip to Nashville. Easy to find, free parking and lots of open green space. We were is amazement with the size and had no idea there was an art gallery and exhibit inside.. a small $6 per person fee is more than worth it to get in and see all inside. 1st floor art gallery where photo taking is prohibited.. beautiful art you simply need to see in person. After about an hour at/in the Parthenon we got some delicious Italian lemonade from a street vendor and then had a picnic in the park

The Parthenon is a great way to spend an evening or a weekend day. Inside the Parthenon is a really cool museum with history of Nashville and centennial park as well as regular art and sculptures. It’s called off by a huge gold covered statue of Athena. Outside the Parthenon is centennial park which is huge and beautiful. There are running paths, sitting areas, a lake, and plenty of space for fun and activities.

I have no been inside, but I highly recommend this as a place to see. Perfect for a date, a picnic, a walk, etc.. There is a large field next to it for games, sunbathing, frisbee, fetch, a picnic, etc.. If you are visiting Nashville I highly recommend this as a stop on your trip. It’s fun and really cool for all ages. And it’s free as long as you don’t go inside. There is also a large pond that you can walk around that is nice. Perfect place to hang a hammock. My photos below do not do it justice but simply show some less common angles of it.

Who needs to see the real Parthenon when you have this place. Okay, okay I still want to see the real one but definitely impressive. I'd recommend checking it out and then walking around the park. I also did the architectural tour but you could get all that information reading the different text that's around. But it does help if you have questions, it was a good option. Still warm inside during the summer even though they have AC.

Hidden jewel in Nashville! Our Parthenon visit was fifteen years earlier, but this felt right on the money and brought back waves off memories. The architecture and artistry is incredible. I admit the brownish exterior of the concrete pebbles was a bit surprising, but the self guided tour explained that well. We spent about 90 minutes to walk around the outside, scan the materials in the small entrance way history portion, and marvel at the Athena and pediments. Ages 7 to 13 were entertained.

Neat place to view. The building materials are not authentic so it didn't feel like standing at the original Parthenon. That being said it definitely a good place to go to understand the sheer scale of the Parthenon. It is a kid friendly place which allows them to touch SOME of the pieces and architecture. Great park to spend the day with the family. Park is plentiful and free, the Parthenon was $6.

The exterior and interior architecture is impressive. There is a small gift shop inside near the ticket counter. We paid $24 total for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. They actually consider kids under 18 as KIDS which is great since most places now lump ages 12-17 in with adult prices. Inside the lower level there is an exhibit that shows the history of Centennial Park and The Parthenon in Nashville. There is a small art gallery on the lower level as well. There is no photography allowed on the lower level inside. The 2nd level houses the statue of Athena. There is also one other room with just 2 other things to look at. I was only interested in this location for photography (I used my ultra wide angle and it worked well inside & out). My kids wanted to stop here because they thought the statue would look more like the Athena statue in the Percy Jackson movie. They were disappointed because she was painted gold (VERY GOLD) as opposed to the statue in the movie. The whole thing was okay, nothing to go back for and if you're not in it for pictures you could easily save the money and just Google the info.

Beautiful park and building. Very popular and well maintained. This park is perfect for everything other than it's crown jewel, parthenon. Take a walk and enjoy some beautiful flowers, take a stroll around the park, swing on the benches they have. Perfect for photos and getting a workout. There's something for everyone there including a kiddie park (jungle gym) while you take a load off.

What a beautiful replica! Was very impressed by this monument and happy I went to see it. That said, the lower level museum is an art gallery with a couple historical pieces. There is an entrance fee which I'm not sure is worth is because really, it's all about the upper level. You want to see those 7.5 ton bronze doors and the Athens statue made of ivory and 1.5 million dollars worth of gold. A couple of pictures and you're set. But wow what a sight when you see this 42 foot statue! There were also the original statues from the outer decor that you could see. Very nice. I wouldn't make a special trip for it but I would check it out on the hop on hop off or during a stroll through the massive park.

This park is beautiful. Take a walk around the pond. Plenty of benches to sit and rest. There are a few homeless hanging around the park or napping in the shade. They didn't bother anyone though. The Parthenon is really amazing. Just the size of the columns and the Athena statue is overwhelming. I highly recommend spending the $6 admission fee to see the Athena statue. Stick around and learn the history of the building.

We didn’t go inside as it doesn’t open until noon on Sunday and we had to get going, but we still had a great time appreciating the architecture and attention to detail. The iron doors were amazing as well as the ceilings- don’t forget to look up! We also walked around the park and enjoyed the pond. We’ll have to go back when it’s open sometime.
