Great place. Small and free. Lovely to look around before or after a walk/ play in the park. Really great interactive exhibition especially good for kids.

Lovely place to visit. The staff were friendly and helpful when we visited. It's definitely worth a visit even though it's quite small because it's next to the park.

Having great fun playing hide and seek in the house. Dressing up and drawing activities for kids. Try and get here on one of the fayre days to see Knights and traditional crafts.

Lovely old Tudor building in a lovely setting, not a lot to see and you soon get round all the rooms and information boards but it's worth a walk around the nearby Meersbrook Park.

The best preserved timber framed house in Sheffield. The earliest part of the house dates to 1554, owned by the Blythe family and has been added to, adapted and constantly occupied until 1976. It is now open as a museum of life in 17th century. Entry is free and though the site is small, it is definitely worth a look in. There is plenty to look at and it is fairly interactive for children. There is plenty of information available in each room, though the steep stairs and uneven flooring makes it not too disabled friendly.

Took our 4 year old there and had a great time. Medieval knights fighting with a great variety of weapons- what boy wouldn't love it? The house is also interesting and small so keeps their attention. The fact it's set in a park is a bonus with a playground and you can take a picnic. Please like helpful reviews.

GOOD POINTS. Free entry. Helpful volunteers. Stuff for the kids to do. Informative. Great little bit of history situated in the park. BAD POINTS. Errr....I'm struggling to think of any. Great little hidden gem. Well worth an hour or so of your time. The events they have they are great too. Highly recommended. Ps. Just watch your head inside the building.

Really nice place to eat. They've started an 'Eco-friendly' campaign re sustainability, straws, plates cutlery etc. Run by the Very famous "Pudding Ladies", quality of food is really good.

Beautiful Bishops House, I adore this place, tucked away in Meersbrook Park this is fee to go and look around with some souvenirs in The foyer as you go in. It was built in the 1500’s and is one of the only surviving timber framed buildings in the city, it is furnished with period furnishings, the bedroom in particular I find really takes you back in time, a gorgeous piece of Sheffield’s history very well worth coming for a look round, then perhaps, take a walk round the parkland after?
