Agrasen Ki Baoli (also known as Ugrasen Ki Baoli; transl. Baoli of Agrasen) is a 60-meter long and 15-meter wide historical step well in New Delhi, India.
Located on Hailey Road, near Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar, it was designated a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act of 1958.
Lovely historic place to visit.. According to me this place was used as an ancient swimming pool. There is a well which is now dried, use to supply the water for the bath. Some say that this place has some spirits which should not be disturbed but when i went there i found nothing to get afraid off. This place would be better if still it was a swimming pool.. What fun it would be.. But still its not that bad too.. Go n visit..

It's a good place for those who love clicking photographs but in Summertime the place gets hot. You can spend 1 hours in summer time if you love clicking photograph or interested in history. You should must carry your Water bottles as there is no such facility of canteen or cafeteria around the place. The place is also good for couples. As you will find majority of the couples there.

Nice old construction/architecture. Not much to explore but still you will see always good number of people here. Located 2-3 kilo meters from Connaught palace. Just one time visit is enough. However you can good photo shots here. Also go to the bottom level and try to explore the beauty of this very old architecture..

The place is a must watch for history lovers as well as those who want to go someplace near Connaught place but somewhere more adventurous.. The place is basically a stairwell but gives you the feel of trekking and your heart sinks down as you descend the steps.. But of course this place is the place to be for the photo lovers out there as you can get tons n tons of good pictures out here and cherry on the cake is that this place has no entry pass. So enjoy!

But the place is awesome you must not forget to see the well from down side tho there is nothing but gives a good view from inside. And it can be a good photography spot.

You would not imagine a place like this exists right in the city center. Easy to miss unless you are guided and follow the map accurately. It looks like an eerie place at first, but very awesome. Gives you a sense of amazing architecture that has stood the test of time. Although when you go down the cave it gets a little smelly due to bats dwellings. But the overall experience visiting this place is great. Be sure to climb all the sides and get views from different locations. Be sure to sit and contemplate and absorb all the good vibes this place has to offer.

It's a good place to explore history of India. A peaceful destination where one can spend time or picnic. Not too much to explore but a deep well is there with too many stairs. Build very well and shows the quality of architecture build so many years ago. There is just a well, nothing else is there like park or any other monument. But it shows the technique of storing water used in ancient India. A great architecture by King Ugrasen.

Really nice place to visit, this is a step well which was used to store water.. it's really interesting to see the cleaver architecture of this place, now it is kept dry so you can take steps all the way down to the bottom of the well. This place also has a small mosque. Sadly it's not very well maintained, it needs restoration. This place is also famous among photography enthusiasts..

What a special place. Going here with a guide is recommended, because it can be hard to find on your own. Also, the guide can explain the history behind this place, which is interesting. A water resovoir of this size is a brilliant sight, and although you can walk far down the stairs, there is still a but of water left in the well at the very back. Unfortunately this water has been corrupted by plastics and other environmental pests, making for less of a grand view when you go to the bottom. Aside from this, the place looks very nice, definitely worth a visit.

Great historical place to visit. It's really exciting and interesting. The place wasn't too crowded with tourists . So you can enjoy the beauty of this place. It is located between many buildings and it's quite hard to locate without maps. It gives amazing view from the top. As you will reach the bottom you will observe many bats and pigeons on top of the roof. They have made that place quite dirty and smelly. The structure of this place will amaze you. If you are in delhi you won't disappoint visiting this place.

Agrasen ki Baoli is one of the well known place in Delhi. This place is famous for photography and historical monument. It is a hidden place, I have crossed from there so many times but didn't notice it. This place is hardly 500-600 meter from Barakhamba metro station. You can easily go by walking and please use Google personal assistance or google map. I was amazed by the beautiful architecture and place.
AVIGYAN BANDYOPADHYAYMay 17, 2018
From the past towards the future In my one picture you will catch this sentence if you are a good observer or good photographer The Agrasen ki Baoli is a unique architecture as it is 60 m long and 15 m wide making it very narrow. Earlier, it was filled with black water which has dried up today but according to legend, many people who came here were often led to the water and felt like drowning in it. It was as if the water was calling them out to submerge themselves in it. There have been reports of suicides in the past. Today, however, Agrasen ki Baoli is dry but it is infested with bats and pigeons. Many people who have come here have complained of being followed when there is really no one around. The feeling of being followed also comes from the fact that it has 103 steps and you can hear your own footsteps. Yet, people get an eerie feeling here and that makes the place spooky even today. Despite being free of cost for people to come and see this monument, very few people really visit this place. Are you brave enough to go here? If my info useful for you then please hit on helpful button. Thanx

The place definitely is a part of the historical architecture. It was basically a step by step well that was used as water storage. Now the water has but all dried up. It is not so easy to locate. There is not much to do here; except exploring and taking pictures. This place has some pretty good pic spots. You can bring a picnic here. The place is infested with bats and it smells so. Otherwise it won't take much time to explore. Though these days, it's quite crowded. And there is nothing spooky here. Not at day or night.

As a Historical Place it is a great place to visit. Beautifully designed, solid architecture. The only thing i didn't like during my visit there was the amount of mosquitoes that place is holding as we go downstairs. I wasn't able to stand steady and click photos because of the amount of mosquitoes. There should be proper treatments done to avoid visitors getting mosquito's kisses.
