Overall experience was just splendid.Recommended to visit.
Amazing museum Must visit.. helpful staff.. it represents history growth and future of Indian railways in a proper sequence you have option to took a toy train kind train to see ancient steam engine coaches and stations of Indian railways and you might opt for purchasing 50/- ticket and see entire museum on foot (I will recommend that) this is one of the finest museum of India and it must be visited. The display of real coaches and engine/ locomotives will definitely leave you awestruck.. you can also enjoy the quick bite in the cafeteria of museum campus itself and there is sufficient and safe parking also
A really nice and knowledgeable place to visit with family specially with children. You even got to the stream model of 1855, one first in India probably first in the world. I would say not to go there on holidays not because it's a bit more costly but due to rush and no parking space. Don't try buying anything from inside cause it would be only wastage of your bucks for things which are not worthy. Try all ride and visit it at least thrice.
It's a great place to take your kids through the journey of Indian Railways starting from the first steam engine till today. The Joy Ride is the best option carry a lot of water with you there was no water. The food in the cafeteria is wonderful. Not recommended on a sunny day since it becomes very hot and there is no water.
Its a good place if you Keen to know about the history of Indian railways. They've got the models of every equipment they used centuries ago. From enormous engines to the tiniest railway tracks. I was intrigued by all this. They have also got small quizzes which kids love to play with and a nice cafeteria where you can have lunch with your family. Along with this there is a also a concept of "Joy train" in which the provide a small ride within the area of museum itself.
