Good place to visit... Not only for the purpose of devotion or puja, but also to see how beautifully maintained the temple is. One feel relaxed, calmed, pleasant n energized by spending half an hour or so. It has beautiful gardens and Parks where children can play and elders can relax and/or walk, exercise, etc. There are lots of artificial animals like lions, tigers, etc. in the garden. The temple looks beautiful during night because of the lighting decorations.

very beautiful on the outside. the inside is a little bit too modern. but had the occasion in the morning of seeing artists paint the marble bas-relief illustrations. photos are totally forbidden inside. camera and phone must be left in a locker. rest of posessions can be carried inside

A best place to visit in any city / state is to visit a temple... So here is the best place in delhi...... You and your family should also visit here to know how great pleasure it gives to you...... This is the place you can't forget after visiting..... Very clean and with very peaceful environment...... There are ac and non ac rooms which are kept very well.... Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple -also known as the Birla Mandir :-Laxminarayan refers to Vishnu, with his consort Lakshmi. The temple, inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, was built by Baldeo Das Birla from 1933 and 1939. There are Shrines dedicated to Shiva, Krishna and Buddha. It was the first large Hindu temple built in Delhi over 7.5 acres, adorned with many shrines, fountains, and a large garden with Hindu and Nationalistic sculptures It Has a Hall "Geeta Bhawan" for discourses. The temple is one of the major attractions of Delhi and attracts thousands of devotees on the festivals of Janmashtami and Diwali. लक्ष्मी नारायण मंदिर बिड़ला मंदिर के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। भगवान विष्णु और देवी लक्ष्मी को समर्पित यह मंदिर दिल्ली के प्रमुख मंदिरों में से एक है। इसका निर्माण 1938 में हुआ था और इसका उद्घाटन राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी ने किया था। बिड़ला मंदिर अपने यहाँ मनाई जाने वाली जन्माष्टमी के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है। यह मंदिर मूल रूप में १६२२ में वीर सिंह देव ने बनवाया था, उसके बाद पृथ्वी सिंह ने १७९३ में इसका जीर्णोद्धार कराया। सन १९३८ में भारत के बड़े औद्योगिक परिवार, बिड़ला समूह ने इसका विस्तार और पुनरोद्धार कराया।

Really beautiful and peaceful place. You have to remove your shoes, but it's pleasant walking on the cool marble and seeing the different statues and decorations of the site. Lakshmi is the wife of Vishnu, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.The nearest metro station to this beautiful and colourful temple is Ram Krishna Ashram Marg on Yellow Line of Delhi Metro. big and very nice temple in Delhi and its also a tourist spot.Inside the temple you are not allowed to take photo. You cant enter into the temple with shoe,bags and also with electronic gadgets(including mobile phone).there is a counter from temple authority to keep your stuffs without any charge.View and atmosphere inside the temple is good.View of the city from the temple is amazing.there is a shop inside the temple area where you will collect some memory of Birla temple.Payable toilet is there.outside the temple there are parking place many small shops.

Such a soothing place and a calm atmosphere. Had a great time here. Marbles on the walkway doesn't let you feel the heat while walking. Temple has been maintained very well.

A great temple and a park behind. Park has also many temples. Simply awesome place. You must go at least once, great picnic spot for kids too. You can't click photos inside the main temple but can click unlimited inside the park, can click temple itself from the park. It's around 1-2 hour visit. Phone and shoes will be deposited in shoe house before entering temple premise.
