Swaminarayan Akshardham is a Hindu temple, and spiritual-cultural campus in Delhi, India. The temple is close to the border with Noida. Also referred to as Akshardham Temple or Akshardham Delhi, the complex displays millennia of traditional and modern Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture. Inspired by Yogiji Maharaj and created by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, it was constructed by BAPS.
The temple was officially opened on 6 November 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in the presence of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh, L.K Advani and B.L Joshi. The temple, at the centre of the complex, was built according to the Vastu shastra and Pancharatra shastra.
The architecture, Layout and the entire area is magnanimous and stunning. The amount of detail and effort that has been dedicated by the artists is just out of this world. The temple is an example of excellence and perfection. Once you enter the temple you can easily spend at least 5 hours to explore the temple and its beauty. Please ensure cameras, hand baggage and even cell phones are allowed in the premises. However, the cloakroom service is available for all your belongings. The food court is neat and have a lot to offer. There are multiple stores where you can buy souvenirs and books. The boat ride and the show is really amazing. Parking, toilet facilities are free but one has to pay for the musical fountain and other activities. The environment around and in the temple is so calm and relaxing.

This place is literally a treat to one's eyes. Every single thing whether it is carvings, paintings, exhibition, boat rides and specially water show is just superb. You'll be awestruck by just looking at each and every detail of the temple. The security here is very high. You need to pass through 2-3 security checks to enter the temple. You can not take mobile phones, bags or anything made out of metal inside the temple. You need to submit it in the cloakroom. Entry gets closed at 6:30 pm so you need to enter the temple before that and it is closed on every Monday. Good eateries, sitting areas, toilets and even playground for children is available here. So whenever you go there reach around 2:00 pm so that you can attend all activities because they have a particular timing. Do visit if you are in Delhi and specially attend the water show. You'll definitely enjoy.

This temple is just fabulous. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The carvings, paintings are just impressive. The place is super clean as a temple should be. There is very high security to get inside, which is justified. Must visit for anyone visiting New Delhi.

Its a piece of art, purely a piece of art. One of the best man made monuments i'v ever visited. Security is very high, you can not carry any cameras, belts, metal etc inside. You need to pass through 3-4 security checks. But once you visit inside, you forget everything & a wow factor comes on your face. The gate of the main temple is very high & too thick, its made up of Gold. When you get inside the temple, the roof is too high & there is art everywhere & on everything. There are many gardens inside the premises & you can easily spend 3-4 hours here.

One of the best places to visit in India. The visual treat you experience there is priceless.. I would have given 5 stars, but the food quality served at the food court was not worth it. It was even fine that the prices were high, but the quality was poor.. Also, if you reach there early, make sure you get the water-show tickets too. Because, that counter opens at 5 pm, and before that they won't give you the tickets..And once you finish the exhibition and then go out to take the water-show tickets, you will face the long queue..So better book online..I am sharing this because I had a bad experience regarding this..

Just Awesome. Everything is well maintained and on time. Security guards are very active, parking facility is also good and systematic to handle any number of vehicles. They don't permit to bring mobile with you inside the temple premises. But, you can capture photos outside the temple. If you are wishing to come here, don't forget to enjoy light-water show at 7PM daily. There are also official photographers from Management team. You can hire them for clicks.
