Carousel Gardens is a seasonally operated amusement park located in New Orleans, Louisiana at City Park. It features many rides, including the Live Oak Ladybug Rollercoaster, a ferris wheel, a drop tower called the Coney Tower, and a miniature train that tours the park. It is also home to one of the oldest carousels in the US, also known as the “Flying Horses”.
The park is open on the weekends and closed on holidays. Admission is $4/ person or ride, $18/ unlimited rides, and children under 36” are free. Season passes are also available which last for the year. In the park there are a few important rules guests are asked to follow. A few of the ones which are most emphasized are no pets or food are permitted, and to enter, wristbands are required.
Great rides, especially for the little ones. They have several great rides just for little kids (merry-go-round-type rides with planes, cars, etc.; teacups, small elevator drop, slides) and some you can enjoy with them (the carousel, the train, bumper cars, twister, fun house, roller coaster). It's a great way to spend the day.

I was here for the Celebration in the Oaks also known as Christmas in the Oaks, the overall square footage of the lights was absolutely impressive the lights are hand done which absolutely blew my mind to find out if these were done individually each piece. The quality of the park was really something to be noted because it was outstanding. The park even in the middle of the evening after it gotten dark, wasn't dirty. The staff members that I did actually communicate with where exceptionally helpful and amazingly polite

Didn't have this much fun with the kids in a long time, we had a great tike and rode almost every ride

Think carnival rides. That's all it is. Fun place to take a tall 4year old.

We showed up at park close in this location, they did not want to let us in but my girlfriend flexed her muscles of persuasion and shortly there after we were in the door, because of the last minute nature of getting in we were allowed to hop on a few rights with a couple green handshakes and tad on amazing hour or so running around. The scenery is remarkable and the atmosphere could not be any more fun. After we slid off to a cafe which was walking distance and had An Irish coffee as a nightcap.

First time visiting as I post my review. In taking my nephews ages 11 and 13, I said that I would not get on any rides as I felt that they were catered to their ages and younger. Although that is the case, they pleaded with me to get on about three or four of them, so I did. The rides were still super fun even at my age. I loved how much fun the two of them had, plus me. I did the history tour as well which was a great way to learn fast fun facts regarding the becoming of City Park. The music was not so appealing though. We ended the evening at City Putt which is always a fun time for all ages! Carousel Gardens is a must visit in New Orleans.

Such a fun place for kids. There are amusement park rides for all ages here. Story Land is excellent for the toddlers. The carousel is beautiful and the train ride takes you past everything in the park. Definitely a must see if you are ever in New Orleans.

My girls are teens, and they still enjoyed the park! It was worth the admission price to see the joy on their faces. Unlimited rides are $22, and entry fee without rides is $4. The are so many things to do here, and the photo opportunities are tremendous!

Rode the new City Park train. The tour lasted about 45 minutes and was wonderful. The actors kept us all engaged with this history of the park and their voices were exceptionally pleasing. I plan to go again.

We visited as part of an event. Our little one loved all the kiddie rides. Staff was friendly and considerate of our son who uses a wheelchair.

It was great for the first 3 rides. It was the Friends of City Park Festival. Then, the rain came. There was no food unless you paid for it. The food was to be included in the festival. Don't know what they did with it, but our grandchildren were disappointed and so was I. They did enjoy the first 3 rides though. It was forecast to rain and I feel like they should have rescheduled it for the next day or even the day after that. Would have been enjoyed by everyone else as well, I suspect.

Kids loved the rides and trees helped keep it cooler. Amusement section closed and made everyone leave due to lightning in the area with no let up in sight. They did give us free arm bands to return next day for free. But same thing happened the following day. I do appreciate the safety issue, but kids were disappointed. Ordinarily a very fun day.

The admission fee is $4 and if you want to go on the rides, it's an additional $18. It is definitely worth the price, we went on a Saturday afternoon and there we no long waits to ride, the kids had a great time. The only thing that is too pricey is the food and drinks.
