One of my favorite things we did in Nola was tour this historic home. When you step inside it is breath taking. It was so interesting to learn about this family 's life in the 1800's and be immersed in it. Wonderful tour guide and liked the small group size.
The exterior belies the richness of the Gallier House. An inheritance inventory allowed the restoration to be as faithful as possible. Excellent guide, and a fair amount to see. History buffs will enjoy.
Had a fantastic tour, our guide was lovely and incredibly well informed on both the unique history of the home and its inhabitants, as well as the history of the city and its architecture generally. Well worth a visit.
Another great historical visit to a home from the the precivil war time. Be sure to add it to your list of things to do when you visit New Orleans.
Amazing tour of this historic house in the French quarter, highly recommended!
Wonderful tour, beautiful furnishings. This is a great tour to give you an idea of what life would have been for this architect and his family. Restored to perfection and very educational tour and the least expensive tour I did while in New Orleans. Highly recommend if you love seeing old homes.
Beautiful house and interesting history. The tour guide was excellent and the tour was very comprehensive.
I attended a lecture through one of the monthly "Gathering" events. It was really a good experience. The speaker was well informed and interesting. After the lecture, we all got a short tour of the house in "summer dress.". It was both informative and delightful.
SUCH an amazing tour in an amazing part of the French Quarter! One of the most interesting tours, if you love architecture or history or interior design you will love this tour! A bonus is that the tour guides are extremely knowledgable and friendly!
