The 9/11 Tribute Museum, formerly known as the 9/11 Tribute Center and Tribute WTC, shares the personal stories of family members who lost loved ones, survivors, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers and Lower Manhattan residents with those who want to learn about the September 11 attacks. It is located in the World Trade Center section of Manhattan, New York City and offers walking tours and galleries with 9/11 artifacts and history.
The 9/11 Tribute Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and is a project of the September 11th Families' Association. While the larger National 9/11 Museum focuses on those who died, Tribute has maintained their focus on the survivors.

Abby Goldfarb was the perfect tour guide! She is a native New Yorker and was obviously emotionally involved in remembering her experiences of 9/11, which added greatly to the tour. She was also very open to each of our stories of that day, which helped ease a very emotional recount by those of us who were personally involved in that day. She gave wonderful details of what happened in the immediate vicinity that were not available in the news reports. She made the tour so personal that each of us felt like we had become a friend that shared a once in a lifetime experience. She also gave great detail of all the new construction and the reasons behind it. She also showed great respect and reverence to those who had died. She made the day alive and personal to each of us and gave us memories to share with our loved ones that will last well into the future. We were truly blessed to have her as our guide.

It was great day at Ground Zero, we will never forget. The tour guide Mr. Benoit is very friendly, knowledgeable about the events. He answered our questions and listen to our comments. He made the time go fast. He was even funny in occasion.

I purchased the 9/11 Ground Zero tour for my parents who were visiting from St. Louis. As a 14 year resident of New York City, I too was curious to learn more about the events that transpired on 9/11 as well as the symbolism behind the monuments that I walk past on my way to work in lower Manhattan every day. What I didn't expect was a tour with a touch of personal testimony - Ryan, our tour guide - a born and bred New Yorker relayed his experience of 9/11 as a 5 year old boy whose father risked his life to volunteer with the cleanup effort for several days following the brutal aftermath of the attack. Ryan's tour was deep felt and genuine. He imbued his personal narrative with touches of humor as well as cool, fun facts about St. Paul's Church, stories of the first responders who had perished and background on the creation of the 9/11 monuments. Ryan humanized the story of 9/11 in a way that drew me closer to my fellow city dwellers as well as for the folks visiting the big, scary urban capital that everyone purports NYC to be. We thoroughly enjoyed Ryan's tour and highly recommend it to both New Yorkers and tourists!

Our tour guide, Ryan, was a born and raised New Yorker, who was very animated in describing his memories of 9-11 as a young boy. His love of the city was very apparent and he was quite knowledgeable about the rebuilding of the World Trade Center area, making it a memorable tour.
