What a great place to see, so many restaurants and shops in the area. My favorite store nearby is the Nintendo Store, which is a great place to visit if you are a fan of all things Nintendo or know someone who is. The energy is amazing here and you can see why the NBC studios shoot so many shows here. The mounted police officers were at Rockefeller during our short visit, always great to seem them on their horses. The outdoor restaurant area on the lower level is great for outdoor eating and gets converted into an ice skating rink during the winter. Take the time to do the Top of the Rock for a great view of the city.

Probably the best view of New York City you can get. On one side you can have one of the greatest views of Central Park, even though new buildings are starting to cover a bit the sight. In the other side you get the most incredible view of the Empire State, with the World Trade Center building in the back. The elevator to the top is incredible fast, and there is very little waiting time, specially compared to the Empire State. Additionally, the space in the Top of the Rock is wide and can hold a large amount of people. It's by far, my favourite view of the city.

BETTER THAN EMPIRE! We went here yesterday and was a really great experience. In my opinion, as you can see I prefer this to empire. One of the main reasons is, because you can see the Empire! Not fair on the empire experience I know but is the most iconic part of the skyline. On Top Of The Rock you get 3 different viewing platforms. Recommend going to the top, it may be cold but well worth it!

Pretty convenient place to sit around and relax. Super packed during holidays...especially Christmas. The restaurant that has a view of the ice is pretty good. Convenient access to the subway, and there are some decent stores and food places as well. I also recommend checking out the top of the rock. It's way better than the empire State building in terms of view and comfort.

Top of the Rocks is one of the top attractions of NYC. It is worth the money, as the view over NY is exceptional and spectacular. I would highly recommend to go early - best around 09:00am - on a sunny day. We had no waiting time and we had enough space to make photos and to feel very comfortable. Great experience - thanks a lot!!

Best view in the house. I'm a licensed Tour guide and everyone asks where is the best views. Rockefeller Center gives you views all of the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower all-in-one as well as Central Park and Far Beyond period it gives you the best seat in the house take the most iconic pictures of New York City. You can enjoy all three different levels of the roof which is not accessible in the Empire State Building or on the Freedom Tower. Definitely worth the visit. The wait was not long as opposed to the Empire State Building which you could usually wait for about 2 hours. Worth it

I have never done the top of the rock before and the view is breathtaking. Plus I think that it was better than the empire state building because you get a real view thanks to their glass windows. To get to the top floor you would need to get 2 elevators which is fine because it takes you up in seconds. The experience was fun and family friendly. It was awesome because we had a clear sunny view.

It's always crowded but a must place to visit if you want to experience an iconic NYC landmark. The place look truly magical come Christmas time. In the hot summer, many people sits around enjoying the cross wind breeze and dine at the open air restaurants by the skating rink.

A great experience! Going to the Rockefeller Center was probably one of my favorite things I did on my trip to New York. I ate at some restaurant down in he place where the ice rink is in winter, but I forgot the name. Either way, the food and staff were great, and it was a great experience eating dinner right next to the fountain. The next evening I went to the Top of the Rock observation deck, which you HAVE TO GO TO! It has an outstanding view of New York from al angles. One level had glass, but an upper level doesn’t. At the upper level it will be crowded, so remember to be patient, and maybe go a bit early. I recommend going right before sunset, so you can stay for pictures during the day, sunset, and night. Honestly, I would see pictures of New York online that were taken from there, but I thought it had to have been taken in a helicopter or something. Absolutely gorgeous view.

What can a reviewer write about Rockefeller Center that has not been written before. The Murals! The gleaming floor surfaces, indoor plantings . . . . More. . Well maintained grounds, good level of security personnel, great shops and good restaurants, convenient Concourse on Lower Level to avoid the cold and rain, with still more shops, restrooms and eye-catching displays. . For business office space, an excellent location for offices in midtown Manhattan. Highly efficient staff and good attention to detail. Well done maintenance and upgrades for comfort, climate control, security and state-of-the-art installations. . The Plaza Area outside and below can be magical. The rooftop plantings are beautiful above those lower Fifth Avenue Buildings, which make for a near perfect photo opportunity by appointment or tour. . The Building Management are doing a fine job and keep the legacy of the Rockefeller Family's wise construction high on the list of "to do" destinations in New York City. .

In 1930 has began implementing of a project which envisaged construction of 19 buildings in Art Deco in Manhattan. Today, this architectural complex is among the finest in New York. It is the work of the Rockefeller family. Hence the name – Rockefeller Center. The most respectable of all is the building of General Electric. It rises to a height of 266 meters above the city skyline and has 70 floors. Today this impressive skyscraper is an obligatory stop for visitors to New York. This complex is a masterpiece of modern urban architecture and contributes to the cosmopolitan radiation of the global financial capital. Each year in December at the Rockefeller Center you can find the most beautiful and shiny Christmas tree in America.

What a fantastic experience. Did the Top of the Rock trip to get what we hoped would be fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State building, and this delivers. Clearly this trip needs the weather and we fell lucky. Two pieces of advice. Book in advance and go as early as possible. We booked for 09:10 and had a full hour just staring at the views. As we went back down the place was packed. Great attraction.

The Rockefeller Center is great! The stores there are very interesting, and it’s in a very central location. The garden looks absolutely stunning, and the story behind the Rockefeller is an interesting one. The statue is super cool looking, and the Center allows for easy movement to Fifth Ave. All the artwork and mosaics along the sides of the buildings are quite nice, as well as the LEGO recreations. A warning though, if you plan on going on top of the rock, you’ll be met with an incredibly long line.

Really nice area in general. LOVED the NBC part, a must if you're a Saturday Night Live fan. The doormen were honest with us about the visibility at the top of the rock so if you're planning to go up make sure you enquire first so you'll be able to get the best view. We went at night and although cold, it was maybe the best experience of the trip. You can even see the statue of liberty if you look hard enough. A great activity and an amazing photo opportunity.

Great view of the upper side of New York City. You can see Central Park from the top. That have a great system for going to the top. You get a time window when you need to arrive at the elevators to go up. So you aren’t stuck in a line too long. You can take your time at the top. I would recommend going to the top of the rock vs the Empire State Building. Keep in mind the visibility when you go. Careful which tour you sign up for too. If you want the NBC tour make sure it states that or you may end up on an art tour around Rockefeller which is good, but it’s not NBC.

After recently getting married and adjusting to life with my husband, I was missing my Sister ~Friends! We decided to take a Red Eye to NYC!! We had a blast taking in the sights and enjoying conversations with the people of the city!! We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality we received!! We rode uptown and downtown on the subway and didn't get lost!! We navigated Chinatown and Italian Village and found all kinds of treasures!! I can truly say...I ❤New York!!

Beautiful place and definitely one of those "must see in NYC"! Decorations are nice and very well put together! Christmas tree was beautiful and ice skating was fun. I recommend ice skating outside of rush hours, since there's less people, it's less expensive and service is quicker. Definitely also check out inside of Rocketfeller center, there's beautiful paintings on walls and ceilings, shops, cafe shops, places to eat and rooftop bar. Saks fifth avenue store is right next to Rockefeller center and during Christmas time they has this amazing Christmas decoration and lights with music outside. Definitely check this out as well!

Even with a week in New York City I did not have time to explore NYC as much as I’d like to. I did not get to the top observatory but I did get the opportunity to walk around and soak in the atmosphere. It was a beautiful but hot summer day when I went in June. While my teens were shopping at the Lego and Nintendo store close by, I took it advantage of exploring the inside of the The building. There were lots of people relaxing outside, under the shade of the trees and the flags. And eventually I ended up with a cool glass of water and a yummy glass of Prosecco; listening to some live music and enjoying an eye level view of the golden Prometheus statue. For me it was the perfect way to soak in the people and the culture.

The architecture and history here was more fulfilling than I had hoped it would be. I try not to see buildings in print or online due to the fact that I want the awe of the experience to be fresh and in the moment and to say least, I was impressed. There were many monumental places i visited in New York, all of which were stunning. While the MET holds my vote for most memorable experience, saying i was able to wander aimlessly around the Rockefeller Center has dented my bucket list. This was one of the main places I intended to visit while in New York, and I wasn't disappointed.

Rockefeller Center is New York's finest. City in the city. Shops and TV/Radio stations. And the best: Top of the Rock. Here, on Top of the Rock you'll have the best view over the city. Come early to avoid queues. On the top: amazing view from financial district to Harlem. Over to Brooklyn and the other side: New Jersey and Jersey City. Best: the giant Empire State Building in midtown or the Central Park.

This is absolutely one of the best place to take a friend who is visiting from out of town or from overseas. We went there in the winter time and my friends were absolutely blown away by the fact that you could go ice skating just outside or stay inside and watch others skate while you eat or shop the "stores". This place is BEAUTIFUL inside and out you can go there just to see the Christmas tree which they light from November and which stays lit way beyond the new year! Its an absolute gem in this city

Great place to grab brunch or dinner for a special occasion! They also make fantastic cocktails so if you aren't up for splurging on dinner, it is definitely worth swinging by for a drink. In the nice weather they have an outdoor section (including a bar) that fills the space where the ice skating rink is in winter, and there's something special about sitting next to the iconic statue and fountain and looking up at Rockefeller Center in all of its glory. Definitely worth the experience for New Yorkers and tourists alike!
