Perfect day outdoors for families. Lots of well kept animals & activuties, even little rides & an indoor soft play. Cafe lunch was nothing fabulous but good value for £ and they had good child-friendly options with their choose-your-own box for £5. Our 3 year old son didn't want to leave!
This was a great day out my 6 year old loved it. Lots to do and see. Very friendly staff and good cafe. Standards have not dropped in 2018. Great place with friendly staff.. Food is also good and tasty.
The best value day out in the county...so far. What a fabulous place for young families! There are so many things to do. I loved the museum which has loads of really interesting artefacts and scenes. The grounds are lovely to walk around and the animals are adorable and well cared for and housed. The folks that work there are always happy to answer questions and explain things. There are lots of scheduled activities including hayrides, pony riding for youngsters and cow milking, for example. There's an indoor play area for inclement weather, a zip-line, massive ground level trampolines...it goes on and on. There's a cafe near the entrance and another in the indoor play building. We fell in love with the lambs, kid goats and calves! You can buy special food packs to feed the petting animals at reception for 50p/bag. Pony rides are £2 and the hayride is £2. We had such a fantastic day that we bought an annual family pass! Highly recommended!
This is a great place for a family visit. There is plenty on offer and they have a free return within the week when we went that we made use of. There is a tractor tour and pony rides available for a little extra and well worth doing. Lots of animals to see and feed, the lambs being the best. Friendly staff and lots of play areas to keep children occupied.
Took our daughter here for something to do on an overcast showery day. Had read a few bad reviews so went expecting an average day. How wrong we were! Welcomed by a friendly lady who explained the layout and timetable of the place well. All the activities were run by friendly and knowledgeable staff and ran to time. Toilets were immaculately kept, and all the buildings were in a good state of repair. All animals looked healthy and were kept in pens etc perfect for them. Lunch in the cafe was good value, particularly the kids box deal. The food was clearly cooked fresh and was tasty. Proper cafe food. We stayed 6 hours. Could've stayed longer but for a shattered little girl! Will be back.
Awful place at an extortionate price! We took our 19month old daughter over the Easter break and we were so very disappointed with the whole experience, animals looked very sad, no staff around to tell you about the animals or offer the petting the animals experience that was advertised! Very run down in need of a major money spent on it to warrant the £11.75 per adult entrance fee! This could be a great place if it was well maintained! Seemed very busy so they could easily send the money on the facilities for the children and the animals! It would help if there were staff around to talk about the animals. Animal pens were very small considering the huge amount of space! Very very disappointed, ruined our day! We will be choosing the zoo next time! In our opinion it’s not worth the effort and certainly not the money!
Kids loved this, lots to door outdoors and things to see. Worth doing the tractor drive as the kids get to see the wildlife and feed the ducks at the lake. Inside the barn kids also get a chance to pet or feed the goats and horses. Good indoor soft play area with slides along with somewhere for the adults to chill out and have a coffee. Would definitely recommend
Great range of activities to do. We got there around opening time during the holidays and the soft play was empty. The bumpy tractor ride was a bit more interesting than most, as there were a couple of guides on board who explained about all the animals at the farm and some of the history of the site itself. It's good that they book you a slot for this when you arrive so you don't have to queue for this. Pony rides were good, but the queue for that built up quite quickly when they started. Bottle feeding was good too, but it was difficult to make sure all children got a go.
Fairly-land, like it so much then growing up. Seeing animals is I'm important at is a good day out
Saddened and disappointed by their complete lack of knowledge when it comes to caring for the abundance of guinea pigs they have here, for one; guinea pigs should not be kept in the same enclosure as rabbits! A lot of the small animals looked cold and the facilities in general were just tired and a bit dated and dirty...needs a good bit of tlc! Just generally quite an unpleasant place to visit and expensive for what it is too!
Brilliant place for families. Plenty to do in all weather. Went with a 5year old and a 2 year old and both had the best day! Even the adults had a great time.
Children had a great time. Went off peak - experience may have been very different if busy. Catering value for money. Basic attraction a bit run down in places up to 7 years
Lots of fun for kids and older kids. Lots of animals Cows, sheep, goats, pigs, alpacas, horses and Emus. Watch the calves being fed or buy some feed and feed the goats. Pony rides for younger kids and outdoor obstacle course for the slightly older ones. Farm museum and several places to grab as snack or have a meal.. Tractor rides for an extra fee and a giftshop before the exit. Good thing is tickets are valid for return trips within a week.
The slides are amazing!! Great ball pool and trampolines outside. It's a lovely place to spend the day with your kids. We celebrate our son's birthday and everything very good but the room party didn't smell very well, there wasn't music and the staff was a little shy.
We had a brilliant time here and the kids want to come back! The admission price is very reasonable, and you can spend all day here. Luckily we went when it was quieter so I can't comment when it will be busier. Lots of play things for the kids (and adults). Girls loved feeding the baby goat and cows their milk, and they loved the milking parlour....not seen one like that before! The museum is very interesting too and the soft play area an added bonus when it started to rain
Lovely place for day out for the kids. Lots to do. Good facilities very clean and very helpful friendly staff.
Fantastic place to take the kids no matter what the weather. With pony rides, tractor rides, indoor and out door play areas, variety of animals to meet, and activities to take part in there are plenty of things to do. The staff are great and knowledgeable. Also get to see the cows being milked in there orbital milking machine. Great value specially with their 7 day return policy. My children love it and we go every year.
