Slaughterbridge (Cornish: Tre war Ponshal), Treague and Camelford Station (Cornish: Gorsav Reskammel) are three adjoining settlements in north Cornwall, England. They straddle the boundary of Forrabury and Minster and Lanteglos by Camelford civil parishes just over a mile (2Â km) north-west of the market town of Camelford
The settlements are on the B3314 road from the A39 to Delabole (now part of a busy route from the A30 near Launceston to north Cornwall).
We were looking for a quiet campsite near Tintagel and we got what we wanted. It felt safe to let the kids go off to explore without us. We found it's location great for the areas we wanted to visit and the site felt comfortable to be in later in the day when we returned. Free use of firebowls was an added joy for the whole family, we had some lovely fires as the sunlight faded. If I was to give one gripe, and the reason for only 4* review, it would be the toilet/shower facilities we not quite up to the standards of the female portion of my family. For myself I think they were fine considering the cost of staying, and its definitely not 'roughing it' in my opinion. If you are looking for somewhere lively with plenty of entertainment then perhaps this won't be the place for you. If you want somewhere quieter, close to some great places to visit, and cost effective, then I can recommend The Arthurian Centre.

Lovely campsite, all facilities needed for 2weeks stay. A little away from most of Cornwall, but price is excellent. Lovely signed tour around the dig sites and down to Arthur's stone. Worth a visit and stay. Kids play area is great fun too.

Great for kids and adults alike. Simple to the point history. If you love King Arthur's, then you'll love here. The walk around it lovely, whatever the weather.

Quaint. Rather esoteric DVD as intro. This really needs updating to something more factual. Little shop and café serves basics. Some interesting gifts to be had in the shop. We had a go at the free brass rubbing, which was fun. There's a good path around the outdoor exhibits, which include the remains of a long house, Arthur's stone 😉 and a pretty walk through the woodlands. Small children's play area. Dogs allowed on lead. Parking was easy, even for a 7 metre motorhome.

It's quite small but interesting, and good value for money! Combine with your day at nearby Tintagel castle.
