Really small but very cute. St Mawgan was the cutest local parish ever. Really affordable stonework and carvinhf at the gardens. Massively peaceful.
Cornwalls hidden secret gem. So many people miss this little wondrous place, partly glad as it stays quiet for the rest of us. If you're reading this, it's worth a visit!
Peaceful place which makes you feel like your in Japan. Loved exploring the gardens and also the village its in. Even bought a bonsai which I'm enjoying looking after
Fascinating little Japanese horticultural enclave, nestling in the heart of Cornwall. Very well maintained. Clearly a lot of imagination and effort has gone into its creation. Well worth a visit
What a lovely, peaceful garden this is! Beautifully designed and tended, it was such a relaxing way to spend an hour of our day unwinding. The zen garden was a nice touch too. Great gift shop if you like all things Oriental like we do.
Really beautiful garden that is maintained immaculately. I spent around 2 hours here just taking it all in and relaxing. There are lots of little features to appreciate such as the koi pond, the bamboo waterfalls, the Buddha statues positioned and the Bonsai trees grown all throughout the gardens. Everything was very well coordinated, the grounds were very peaceful and quiet with only birdsong and running water to be heard. Would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area, though I wouldn't really recommend this for children.
Fantastic variety of bonsai trees , personal advice and help choosing and most importantly unhurried and pleasant contemplative atmosphere in the place like time passes at a slower rate than when outside.
Smaller than I thought it will be. The gift shop could be better maintained since it felt old. The items available in the gift shop were interesting.
Stunning bonsai would love to visit when the trees and flowers are out. Still a pretty well thought out place.
A great place. A large car park. A good place to spend a nice time
A hidden place of tranquillity and a wonderful shop for gifts. Just returned to re-pot my son's bonsai he bought from here two years ago. Great service, tips, and advice.
A beautiful little garden full of plenty of Japanese features. Would like to visit again when the Acers are in Bloom. Well worth a visit.
A wonderful tranquil garden and a very knowledgeable proprietor. Well worth a visit.
We loved the peace and tranquility. The wildlife was abundant and active, so they love it too. Nice shop on the side of small carpark.
The staff were lovely and friendly and the garden was small but beautiful and peaceful. They also have a half price sale on at the moment with all of their outdoor plants and bonsai's - very tempting!
Lovely private family owned gardens. Currently run by the descendants of the original founders, this is a small but manageable garden that visitors can take in at a leisurely pace. I recommend allowing an hour to look around and take photos etc. Nice fish pond and mini waterfalls make for dinner lovely backdrops for photos. Admission in 2017 is £4.50 and they accept 2 4 1 with a Gardeners world pass. Worth a visit.
Beautiful place. I can see it being very tranquil at times and the colours varying throughout the different seasons. I do have to say the gift shop was rather expensive so we refrained from. Purchasing any of the items. But it was a lovely hour well spent. Downside was of course the tranquility was disrupted by others that were there that would rather run around with respect and messing around with the wind chimes.
