Beautiful beach, not crowded at all! Water temperature perfect, all clean. Will be back definitely.
It's a nice but private beach - no dogs and other restrictions apply but lovely views from the beach and the steps and town above the beach. Fair warning there is quite a few steps but also an accessible able slope down to the beach.
Clean, privately owned, well kept beach. Cafe, restaurant/bar, toilets and lifeguards on duty. Spent all day there and we had a great time. If you have really young children or you are a bit iffy on your legs it's a fair way down. Either by steps or road. Worth the climb once your down and settled.
Great sand food caves great place to chill surf or explore we came down alot of steps tho
Nice beach with good facilities. Lot of beach hut that can be hired in advance. cafe and Colonial restaurant and bar. No dog are allowed on the beach during summer session. So save the effort of the steps it you have one. Step access is the main way to reach the beach or you can walk round from one of the slope access beach at low tide.
A fantastic setting on one of the best beaches in Newquay. A great place for views and drinks. Unfortunately poor organisation and staffing in the kitchen let itself down. With food orders taking an unimpressive time to arrive with some meals overcooked. Considering it was a quiet night I felt rather embarrassed as I had recommended the restaurant to family. Plus sides are that the children's food came out fairly quickly. And the real heroes of the night were the front of house staff who were trying their hardest to ensure everyone was happy and settled. I truly hope that the restaurant will do their best to fully staff and train themselves before the season begins,as I would really hate to see the place fail with the public. Would I go back? Yes. For one bad night should not reflect on the business as a whole nor damn the people who work there, but should be food for thought on how to improve. I truly hope to be writing a better review in the future.
I lovely because it's a old English town, has beautiful beach with fantastic views, and it's very clean.
Always love this beach. Great for taking a dip in the ocean and a surf, facilities are very good. No dogs allowed which makes for a much better experience in my opinion. Only drawback is the steps to get to the beach but you can always walk around the road it just takes a bit longer.
Here for a few days with Shearings it's good for walking have not seen any surfers this morning but maybe it was the wrong time of the day but it gave me that peaceful feeling very nice not over occupied with shops
Although it is a bit tricky to access this is a lovely well kept privately owned beach for families. A beautiful vista and nice sun trap. Facilities are great and not too expensive. I'd visit again.
Now that's a room with a view. Staff were great, food was great rooms were just the same GREAT
Nice beach, quiet at this time of the year. Fascinating to watch the stormy seas.
I aways go to this beach. In winter there's the possibility of one other person on the beach. In summer, it's quite the opposite. Beautiful beach to go to especially for seeing the sunset.
My favourite beach. Great for kids and adults alike. Gets a bit crowded in summer at high water, but low tide reveals miles of sand, rock pools and shore life. Cafe, bar/restaurant, surf hire, surf school and basic toilets all available. Parking on and (paid) off road on cliff top. Pizza Express and Great Western Hotel are other dining options on cliff top
