Amazing view of Nice and surroundings for photos at sunrise or sunset. It was a great walk and run from Nice Old Town to the top of the mountain where the fort sits. During the period I was there, there were very few people. (Early morning - November 2017)

Nice visit for a pic-nic or for a tremendous view over the surroundings. The fort is impressive, but it does not seem to be open for the public to go inside.

Hike up: aweful...mostly because I’m chubby But the view...OMG Hike down: not so bad Views from the top: oh boy!!!! It’s worth it from the bottom to the top it’s about 45 min faster if your one of those crazy hikers with those damn poles like your skiing Loved it and would do it again...but not for a while

This place was really beautiful. Keep in mind that walking it is not for the weak. I nearly gave up but once I reached the top all of my energy came back. It’s a beautiful view in all directions. We couldn’t go into the fort, and unlike the other panoramic viewpoints there was no food or drink at the top so be sure to bring your own stuff. Really lovely to hang out here though and to enjoy one of the best views in the city.

We were on a private tour from Nice to Eze. We made a surprise stop here. What an incredible experience to see a castle/ Fort. The fort overlooks the sea and villages under it. Very incredible. It's also neat as one can walk up the steps. Weird to think of how many thousands that have been in this Fort.

Amazing views. Go here if you want to see amazing views of Nice and toward Monaco. The fort itself at the top of the mountain is neat, but really it won't keep you occupied for long. You can see a single structure, walking around the outside. Neat to ponder over, snap a few pictures. You are really going for the breathtaking 360 views. We walked up. Google walking directions laregly did the trick to get us up there. Wasn't super difficult to do the walk but you need to be relatively fit. There are some streets with no sidewalks. There is parking at the top and I saw people just parking along the side of the road near the top. There is also a nice picnic area. There is no food, water or cantine so bring your own supplies. It takes maybe 20-30 mins to walk up from the base of the steps.

Amazing view of Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer from the top of the hill. Worth the long walk you need to do to get there. Recommend to arrive before sunset.

Beautiful view but a hard walk to reach the top. You can go most of the road by car. Recommended. Just before the fort you have some great stops by the way. Popular place to eat your takeaway lunch.

The view is fantastic! The site is physically very cool. You cannot enter into the fort, you can only walk around it and look at the walls from the outside. ( I read somewhere that yiou can book a tour into the fort, perhaps via the Nice City Office or similar.) The site is not very kept up, it is not super clean (but little is at rje Riviera) and there is no seating near the fort. There is ample seating on the way up, by the first parking maybe 200 m from the fort. We brought our own kit to sit on and found a nice spot in the shade, with a great view and some breeze. Recommended to have atleast a quick stroll and enjoy the view over Ville-Franche sur mer. The car trip up is not so long, take it on a nice day from the beach, for instance.

Amazing views. Not that well known and you can't get in but still visit... the drive is superb and the view beats it.
