Le palais Lascaris est une ancienne demeure aristocratique de Nice construite par la famille des Lascaris de Vintimille dans la première moitié du XVIIe siècle, et aujourd'hui un musée des instruments de musique anciens. Situé au cœur du Vieux-Nice, il abrite une collection d'environ 500 instruments, ce qui en fait, d'après la mairie de Nice, la deuxième plus importante collection en France.
Faute de sources documentaires, les architectes du palais ne sont pas connus. Son style architectural est du baroque dit génois.

Great little museum/property with some fantastic preserved interior design - not very extensive collection but entry includes 9 other Nice attractions so I think it was a good length of time spent

Very interesting old palace in Nice. Largely decorated in the baroque style it is a beautiful example of a noble's home in the south of France. It does show the results of restoration, but it seems to be well done and authentic. It can be visited using the Museums of Nice Pass. Will appeal mostly to fans of baroque musical instruments and architecture.

Interesting little museum hidden in the old city. Nicely preserved fancy house but not exactly palatial. Worth 30-45 minutes if you have admission from another museum. Cool collection of old musical instruments.

The museum is located in a less traveled part of the old city of Nice. Once inside, the stairway sucks up all the attention. The extensive music instrument collection adds a bit extra to the palais but on its own wouldn't be worth the visit except for experts. The downside of the old building is that it has no real facilities for people with limited mobility. But in general it's a nice break from the busy centre and a nice museum.
