A Wonderful experience!!! Well organised. Very informative. Spent the most relaxing day of my holiday.

Well worth a visit. A film about Chagall's life is shown several times a day and some of the showings are in English.

Great gallery, good size (not too big - you will have enough time to see and appreciate it all in an hour or two) with a great selection of Chagall work hung and curated partly by the artist himself. Was originally a museum showing his biblical message series, but the collection is now larger, albeit mostly still religious in nature. Highlights are his sculptures, particularly the ceramics (not seen many of these elsewhere), some fantastic stained glass, and a huge, spectacular mosaic over a pool outside. There's an interesting film as well if you have time (full run time nearly an hour) and a decent cafeteria. Bear in mind that there is no secure parking nearby - don't leave luggage in the car - and they won't let you in with a suitcase.

Beautifully presented and not to busy at this time of year. Don’t forget to have some form of identity with you or else you will NOT be allowed to make use of the audio guide handsets.

Beautiful setting and really well presented. Not a fan of the work though personally. Lovely cafe in the garden and gift shop well stocked but expensive. You get a free audio guide if you leave a credit card or ID card.

I love Chagall!!! Before I didn't know him but when I watched the film, I really appreciated his works. Free entrance during first Sundays of every month. Also, this is a National museum, hence, it is not included in the free Museum Pass of Nice for the residents.

It was really intersting and beautiful. I'm glad I visited it. Furthermore, my sons of 20 and 18 years entered without paying. They were enthusiastic about this museum too.

If you are in Nice, it places you must visit. The pictures were put by Chagall when he was alive. The museum holds the most significant collection of Chagall paintings. Visit coffee shop which is just outside the museum. It is an excellent place sit and enjoy the surroundings. The dishes are quite generous and not expensive. Great service.

Very well arranged. Lots of space, necessary for the large format paintings. Nice little cafe in the garden. Here’s a picture of the wall mosaic which can be viewed from within the gallery.

An amazing museum for an amazing artist. Not to be missed if you are in the region. Watch the museum’s opening times carefully!

Beautiful curation of this artist's work. Themed exhibitions will call you back, as fresh aspects of his body of work are displayed.

Beautiful museum with a very insightful audio guide tour and a full length documentary in the theater. Mostly features Chagall's biblical works. Worth the visit if you're in Nice and enjoy art. The grounds are also lovely and there is a small cafe. Beware that parking is a challenge here, with a tiny parking lot for 6-7 cars -- and not for the novice navigator unless you want a few new scratches on your car, and the rest is street parking on a narrow and winding street that was packed.

The size of the museum took me by surprise for the amount I had to pay at the door but there is a lot of information in there. I would highly recommend getting the audio guide as you do need it to understand Chagall's paintings. I love the colors he used in his paintings to illustrate his thoughts. I spent more time here than in Museé Matisse.
Shimu Petersmai 25, 2018
It is a small museum, but the biggest for fans of the Belarussian painter Marc Chagall. The architecture of the building, which was the first museum dedicated to the life's work of a living artist, is also interesting. The diversity of Marc Chagall's work, but above all the use of biblical motifs in his paintings, is explained here in a vivid way.
Tobias Kremkaujuin 9, 2018
Small museum. Under 18 are free, over 18 are €10 each. Lots of cool art, very biblical art. Very colorful and exciting. The stained glass is a site to behold and is truly breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit, as it doesn't take long to go through the entire exhibit. The staff are all really friendly as well. Adorable gift shop.
Devin Kanzlerjuin 30, 2018
Must see during your visit in Nice. Even if you are not addicted to painting or The Holy Bible. The exhibition is very interesting. The paintings brings to Life So much biblical motifs. Chagall combines them in absolutely unique way.

As a lover of Chagall’s art i just love this museum and come back to visit it each time in Nice. I’d strongly recommend watching the movie they project in one of the rooms as it gives a much better understanding of Marc Chagall’s live and therefore his art. On a side note, I was as well pleasantly surprised by the newly opened cafe they have now in the garden. It is a great place to spend time in as the location is real quiet and green. The offer is limited but food is ok, and not overpriced at all. On top of it the service was really good. Be aware that only with cash is accepted, otherwise I strongly recommend sit there for a coffee.
Dorina Plugarujuil. 26, 2018
Really worth to visit museum. Very spacious and with good visibility of the artworks even when there's quite a lot people (I went on the first Sunday of the month, which was free. So there was more public than usual). The pieces are simply amazing and the explanation on the audio guides was super well done.

A beautiful olive tree garden welcomes you to this small museum. Audioguides available at the front desk are informative yet concise, elucidating the many biblical allusions present throughout Chagall's works. Highly advise watching the documentary film displayed in the auditorium (left after the desk) before making your way to the main exhibits. Immense stained glass windows and an elaborately painted harpsichord can be admired while waiting for the next showing.
