The exhibits and live feeds are very good. However, I would recommend going when the kids are not in school, there were about 5 schools there when we were there, very noisy and block your attempts to view the exhibits and aquariums if they are in the same vicinity as you. Otherwise, highly recommended
It’s a lovely little aquarium but it is expensive for a family of 5 considering it only takes 30 minutes to walk round the whole thing and that’s with viewing time! But we walked round twice as entry is all day! Tje best part was actually the little monkeys they had. The kids loved it but I don’t think I would go again. The parking is great and very close by there’s also a dinosaur mini golf next door so we did that too!
Absolutely fantastic for kids. Lots to see and a great place to spend a couple of hours. Really interactive for children all the way round, including fish rubbings in which they get to take pictures home. Good talks from staff too. Will definitely return. Cafe was really good too. Plenty of seating and although slightly expensive, was tasty and caters well for children.
Brilliant day out! Our little one (3) loved it. Staff are really helpful and answer any questions you have about the animals. My daughter got splashed from the seal display and its her favourite part of the day! Take a picnic. We didn't and paid 5.90 for a kids sandwich packed lunch box 😮 £8 for an adults meal. £2.50 for a hot drink. Silly prices for what it is. Still t though a brill day out lots of displays and talks every half hour so plenty to see.
Nice little walk around, have a variety of different shows at various times e.g seal show, monkey feeding. Not that big so won't take long to get around. It also has a Cafe, souvenir shop and small park for the kids to play.
Too busy. Not very big. Seal show was brill. Spent more time travelling to it then actually in the aquarium. Face painters blocked the entire turtle enclosure.
FISH ARE FRIENDS YET YOU KEEP THEM IN TANKS? fish want to be free and happy just as much as humans but aquariums like this steal innocent fish and other sea creatures away from their families + natural environment just to make money. These places are a disgrace. FREE THE FISH 😭
The sea life was good and there was a decent range. However the whole place felt very tired. Considering the £10+ entry fee per adult the place didn't feel well maintained. It could do with a good refresh and clean. The cafe was okay, as before in need of a clean and refreshing but mainly over priced. On the whole the staff were good but the cafe staff were not overly attentive. Wouldn't visit again in a hurry.
Buy the ticket online as you get a discount... 10% off if im not mistaken. Nice little aquarium with a variety of fish. Place feels cold so dress warm. Plenty of space to park cars outside but you have to pay. Highlight of the visit was feeding the seals while they jump in the water doing tricks and following commands. Tickets are expensive for the time you spend there.. I will not be going back any time soon BUT it my 3 year old had had a lovely time there.
This is a must for folks with small children. I watched them. spellbound, them and me! There are so many gliding creatures to spot, and some not so fast. Apart from terrapins and masses of fish of all kinds, there are seals and otters and charming marmosets (I think they are called) Well worth a visit.
This is a great place for children and it's interesting aswell as good fun to Watch the fish. Doing the rubbing on the walls is good fun too. Although the otters are a little bit stinky, which is normal for otters, they are excellent to watch and they love to be watched and show off to a crowd. It's clean and well presented with a good layout. Entry fee is a little steep and gift shop prices are way to much. But I wouldn't let that put you off. Just don't buy their expensive gifts. It's possible to come and go all day if you want to go back after you have left also. Worth a visit if you have not been before.
