Is described as a student bar but isn't necessarily priced as one. I go here a lot for team meetings relevant to my university course. The staff are nice enough and the decor inside is really beautiful. It's got a rather fancy town made of what seems to be cardboard and other bits and bobs on the ceiling and it's always nice to look at to spot what pop culture references or real world locations you can make out on it. It's very close to one of the main university buildings for Norwich University of the Arts which puts it in an ideal spot for student to get a quick bev on the way home.

Lots of fairly big acts perform here. But the bar and outside seating is really cool. They have this small hand-made city model across the ceiling that I can study for hours. Popular with students.

The Playhouse is a fantastic venue in a quieter part of town. A great selection of drinks including no fewer than three gluten-free beers, although the only food available is a selection of candy bars. The decor is quite kitschy with retro toys on the shelves and a fascinating Norwich display on the ceiling. The staff are friendly and polite in both the bar and the ticket office. I mustn’t mention to forget the shows that are booked here! All of which a very high standard, both comedy and theatre.

Beautiful venue. Really good quirky shows. Independent shows I think. The attached bar is gorgeous with a lovely beer garden with lots of art around to admire. Hipster crowd old and young alike.

Great bar with a beautiful terrace by the river. It's theatre is a charming, cosy space offering a wide range of comedy, theatre and children's shows. One of the places that makes Norwich a joy to live in!

Great small venue for intimate shows. Well stocked bar with the option of homemade snacks (flapjacks etc). Nice exterior seating area but with close proximity to others it's not ideal for non smokers.

Both the bar and the evens venue here are great offering welcome and friendly comfort for everyone. With a great variety of drinks on offer and bar snacks. The venue is spacious with ample seating and a good size stage offering many different and eclectic drama, comedy and musical experiences. Located in the lanes with amazing decor.

Arty place...love the ceiling town and the piano room. Nice outside space by the river to enjoy chilled drinks in hot weather.

A Norwich institution. Brilliant happy staff. Great on a sunny day. Eclectic music and even more eclectic decorations.

Lovely theatre space, with a carefully curated programme. Think it is especially good for comedy gigs. Then there us the friendly bar (check out the ceiling) and superb beer garden.

I love the Play house. We have taken the children to lots of shows. Their favourite has been Sarah and Duck. Love the ceiling in the bar. Nice vibes and good coffee.
