The Plantation Garden is a restored Victorian town garden located off Earlham Road, Norwich, Norfolk. As of 2021, visitors are asked to pay £2 to visit the garden, which is open daily throughout the year.
The Plantation Garden is a restored Victorian town garden, maintained by volunteers, located in a former chalk quarry in Norwich. It includes a 'Gothic' fountain, flower beds, lawns, woodland walkways, rustic bridge, Italianate terrace, ‘Medieval’ terrace wall; and hundreds of architectural details fashionable in the mid 19th century. This idiosyncratic creation was described by The Telegraph as "a tycoon's folly".

What a beautiful garden, so hidden away I managed to live in Norwich for 9 years without knowing of its existence. So glad I found it as for a mere £2 donation you can spend as much time as you like in peaceful surroundings. I have visited in summer and winter and both times it was absolutely beautiful. Well worth a visit

So peaceful. Probably due to not being known to well.

Lovely gardens, very quiet and relaxing, especially considering its location in the city centre. Often run on a donation basis as staff are not always there, but we have only been when there has been something on, so staff are on the door. Only thing to make it a 5* would be if they had slightly better tea and coffee as only instant was available when we went. I would happily pay for a ground bean coffee! Definitely recommend

Amazing secret garden tucked away. You wouldn't know it's there unless told although good signage up now. It's like a step back in time when you absorb your surroundings. One of the best places to have a picnic 🥂

Lovely garden. Was a little smaller than expected - we walked around in about an hour. To be fair, we've just had very cold weather, and plants are only just coming up. In a month, the place will look fantastic. Entry is only £2, and the carpark us £1/hr. About 15 mins walk from the centre of town.

A absolute hidden gem in Norwich. Small beautiful public garden. Honesty box (old post box) to donate a £2 for entry. Little tip for anyone visiting, arrive before schools get out! Little kids were throwing stones and being loud... luckily they started smoking weed and calmed down a bit but It could ruin the mood for some.

I'm fairly certain there are unicorns living in Plantation Gardens. What a magical spot tucked away in Norwich. Not to be missed.

Great hidden gem of Norwich. It is quite a small layout but quiet and tranquil. Would be great for a picnic. Tea and cake served from 2 to 4. £2 entry using the honesty box and a pay and display car park next to it at £1 per hour.

One of the hidden gems of Norwich. There is no better place to go to relax on a Sunny day. Having been there, Pop over the road to the Earlham Arms for some food and drink to round out the day. Perfect!

A beautiful and unusual hidden gem in Norwich. Amazing and eccentric brickwork and perfectly layed out with benches to sit and wind time away. This is host a mixture of events throughout the year such as outdoor cinema screenings and group picnic events (weather providing). A wonderful treasure and one not to miss.

Wonderful garden just few minutes from the city centre. For 2 pounds you can enjoy a walk through the wide variety of flora and fauna (ladybugs and butterflies) and admire the magnificent fountain

Beautiful gardens, quiet and tranquil. Excellent tea and cakes on Sundays throughout the summer too. Worth a visit for locals and tourists alike.
