Salhouse Broad, one of the Norfolk Broads, is situated on the River Bure in The Broads in Norfolk, England.
The broad is situated just off the river and attracts little through traffic. It lies south of Hoveton Great Broad and approximately half a mile north of the village of Salhouse. Salhouse Broad is accessible from the landward side and moorings are also permitted to fee-paying boat visitors. It is privately owned and managed in conjunction with the community of Salhouse. The broad covers an area of 32 acres (130,000 m2) and is home to many forms of wildlife including the Norfolk hawker dragonfly and the swallowtail butterfly. Black swans have been recorded on this broad. Salhouse Broad is unusual in being the result of the flooding of tenth century sand and gravel diggings, not of peat diggings like most of the broads.

I had a lovely little Sunday walk here in the sunshine. Beautiful scenery, great area to explore and paths are flat and useable for pushchairs etc.

Beautiful broad with camping and boat hire facilities. Go for a short walk through the woods and the vast pictoresqe broad awaits They also sell duck food. There are picnic benches if you look for them. There are toilets at the start of the walk. Parking is free.

Impromptu kayaking trip whilst in Norfolk for the week, were super helpful booking our group in last minute. Was bit tricky to find but we got there in the end! Warm informal meeting and a quick safety brief and we were off! Lovely afternoon activity :)

Always a pleasure to visit - whether when busy with holidaymakers or for sledging with the neighbours. Just a shame a 'round walk' isn't allowed, crossing the adjoining fields.

Fantastic place to overnight moor ... be it at the moorings or mud weighted on the broad 😁

We love mooring here either the broad, spit or island but now with the fee being 9.50 we won't be .

We had a great afternoon at this beautiful broad! Hiring a Canoe to paddle down to get a drink was lovely! Great to know the money goes back into the conservation of the broad! We will definitely be back! Thank you very much to Alex and your team!

A nice walk down to the broad and access to the water for my dog to have a splash and drink. Canoe hire and moorings available. An ice cream boat sometimes. Dog friendly.

Awesome experience loved everything about the Selhouse Broard, Amazing scenery with abundant wildlife. STAFF: boat shed staff was amazing and very welcoming, helpful to make our experience memorable for my children. Was greeted by member of staff called James who was warming and very helpful, as was all staff approached during our stay. Will most certainly return. Greatful to land owner for sharing such a breathtaking location with public. Regards Pat (happy camping corner stayer :-))

Lovely place shame its full of noisy people! Just be aware this place gets very busy on bank holidays and in season weekends. Nice little church and village to explore. Also great pub called the Maltsers. Nice village shop that has all the essentials for the boaters. Also great tea shop that has nice cakes and cream teas.

Always one of my favourite places. Sadly not as wild as my first visits when there were no moorings, you had to beech the boat and climb down. Great place to see the wildlife, well worth the money for an overnight stop.

We only visited on a boat trip but the place looks really nice. The moorings are extremely popular in the Peak season.

Nice enough, enjoyed the mooring. Only thing that left a sour taste was that only hire boats seemed to be charged. Good bit of shade though. Hopefully just coincidence. Ice cream man passes through here as well.

Very beautiful place. Its a few minutes walk from a carpark with toilets, and then you come to the beautiful broads. Even an ice cream seller turned up. You can hire a canoe as well.

Nice place to moor. Costs £10 to moor but it was reasonable. There are so many wasps around this area which was bothersome. Brilliant views however
