The Muckleburgh Collection is a military museum sited on a former military camp at Weybourne, on the North Norfolk coast, England. It was opened to the public in 1988 and is the largest privately owned military museum in the United Kingdom.
The museum is located on the site of the Second World War and post-war Weybourne Anti Aircraft Training Camp. Weybourne Camp is north west of the coastal village of Weybourne. The site, originally called Carvel Farm, was first used in 1935 by the Anti–Aircraft Division of the Territorial Army as a summer training camp. In 1937 and as a result of the growing threat of war, it was decided to make the camp permanent and more fixed structures and defences were erected.
A fantastic collection with a good mix of vehicles and other militaria. Ideal for an afternoon out with the children (mine were 4 and 9 and loved it). Make sure you catch one of the tank driving displays if you can - it’s great to watch.

A good place to go with kids (especially boys). Is great for army and tank fans with planes and trucks to explore too. Also lots of boat models and a WW2 air raid shelter to sit in. A cafe for lunch and a gift shop make the trip even better. Also a bumpy army truck ride and a chance to watch a tank be driven.

A very nice and extensive collection of military antiques mainly consisting of armored vehicles, but also has a quite a few weapons, displays and other rare pieces. It also offers a ride in a troop carrier truck for a small fee, which is interesting but rather bumpy.

Great place for all the family. We have enjoyed the collection for many years and return at least 3 times a year and learn more with every visit. Looking forward to this years opening !

Great little place, loads of interesting militaria. From Harrier jump jets to tanks. The place has a significant history too which I knew nothing about. Nice little souvenir shop Cafe and can have rides in military vehicles too. Good little Cafe on site as well. Well worth a visit. I enjoyed it at Muckleburgh much more than I thought I would.

We had a fantastic visit. There are lots of stuff to see from tanks, weapons, aerial photography and uniforms covering a huge time line from WW 1 to early 90's. There are three large dog kennels but can be hired for £5 deposit each. We went nearly three hours wondering around and enjoying all the information and exhibits. Disabled parking, level access through the building. Good clean toilets and a reasonable priced cafe. Guided tours available around whole site at £3 each.

Fantastic place to visit. We arrived quite late on a rainy day and the staff was very very friendly with us (thanks for their kindness this way as well). The exhibition itself is very interesting and easy to go through. On summer days they do tank runs but for this and more information please contact with the museum in advance. The museum has toilets, shop and as I've seen a canteen as well.

Amazing military museum with tanks, artillery, guns, uniforms, and beautiful scale models. £11 per adult, £7 older children - well worth it. American Sherman tank, Russian T34, German 88mm artillery / anti-aircraft gun etc etc. Spot Marilyn Monroe in her war job in the dining hall. Great gift centre. Large car park. Special event this weekend (Fri 13/4/18 to Sun 15/4/18).

Great military museum. Worth a visit with the kids. Could do with more hands on for youngsters. To many don't touch signs.

One of the best veteran museum! Arrived before closing hour but the staff didn't mention anything let us to look around! So great!

I wasn't sure I would enjoy it but it turned out to be a very enjoyable day out. Sat in the air raid shelter with a gas mask on and read about what went on there. Very interesting. To top it all we had a top notch meal served beautifully with great attention to detail. 8 of us and it all arrived together and was delicious. It was very reasonably priced. Compliments to the chef, he was great. All the staff were lovely and the owner spoke to us and gave us a very informative and interesting insight into the collection and area in general.

A fantastic day out with plenty to see and do. Museum staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Great amenities for all (modern and very clean)and a play area for the youngsters in the picnic area (which has amazing views!). Visit was timed just right as there was a mock attack by USAF F-15's on the nearby practice range. Would highly recommend the tank drive experience (the reason for visiting, as this was a 40th birthday present)! Vic was very knowledgeable and friendly and spent time going through the workings of driving a tracked vehicle, and once done spent time chatting with the family. £11 for adults was reasonably priced, free entry for under 4's (and wannabe tank drivers!), neither my son or niece got bored looking around especially with their active imaginations!

Great museum of dioramas, photos, items and especially the vehicles. Knowledgeable staff are very welcoming. £11 adults/ £7 children worth the money. Also available a VERY bumpy ride in a British truck around the old Weybourne training site. A great half day out....2-3 hours visit. Café and kids play area also on site.

Definitely a Museum to visit if you are in the North Norfolk area. Well laid out, indoor exhibits of tanks, armoury and military memorabilia which appeals to the history buff as well as those who like to be informed about this sad era in Europe. Kids will like it as there is plenty to see, an exploring handsheet and a play area at the cafe. The Muckleburgh Restaurant is an excellent cafe to pause at half way round the Museum. Good menu both for breakfast and main meals. I have posted an image of the Full English breakfast, great value at £8.50 which includes a tea or coffee.

What can we say except BRILLIANT. The complete experience was far beyond our dreams of what we were expecting. The staff were also excellent to which they have to be congratulated with special thanks to the chef for providing good wholesome, good value and good service. It is such an educational trip that everyone will find something to learn and every exhibit is displayed so well that allowing time to take it all in has to be essential. It is so accessable to all so don't think you will not be welcome. It just leaves us to say WELL DONE.

Such a fantastic experience, especially on a week day morning, my partner and I almost had the whole place to ourselves. We loved our visit and loved the tanks, vehicles and other artifacts. The perfect day out for our holiday week. Very friendly happy staff and a big bonus for me was it is disability friendly. There were places for me to sit if I needed to and no big staircases from car park to exit to my memory (my memory is bad due to my illness but I do believe I didn't have to go up any steps) Best thing about this place is the smell of the old machinery. Beautiful.

We visited the Muckleburgh Collection today and had the pleasure of meeting Vic - a lovely, friendly man with a sense of humour. I had pre-booked for my son-in-law to be able to get behind the wheel of a tank as a special treat. Vic carried out the briefing before my son-in-law took over. He then drove the tank three time around the perimeter of the site, with Vic on hand : what an experience ! I thoroughly recommend a visit to this very interesting military museum, and refreshments in the tea room is essential - good food and beautifully served up by friendly staff. And last, but by no means least - the toilets were spotlessly clean. To me that was a huge bonus. We will be visiting again soon ! Mary Godfrey
