Frogner Park (Norwegian: Frognerparken) is a public park located in the West End borough of Frogner in Oslo, Norway. The park is historically part of Frogner Manor, and the manor house is located in the south of the park, and houses Oslo Museum. Both the park, the entire borough of Frogner as well as Frognerseteren derive their names from Frogner Manor.
Frogner Park contains, in its present centre, the Vigeland installation (Norwegian: Vigelandsanlegget; originally called the Tørtberg installation), a permanent sculpture installation created by Gustav Vigeland between 1924 and 1943. It consists of sculptures as well as larger structures such as bridges and fountains. The installation is not a separate park, but the name of the sculptures within the larger Frogner Park. Informally the Vigeland installation is sometimes called "Vigeland Park" or "Vigeland Sculpture Park"; the director of Oslo Museum Lars Roede said "Vigeland Park" "doesn't really exist" and is "the name of the tourists," as opposed to "Oslo natives' more down-to-earth name, Frogner Park."
When looking for outdoor activities to do in Oslo, this want at the top of the search results. This is the biggest park in Oslo. It's really easy to get to from the trolley stops. We enjoyed our time walking around the park. It's a pretty big park and there are a few sculptures scattered throughout. They have a map by the main entrance so you can find your way and find where the statues are. The park is really pretty. It's more of a manicured style of park than a completely natural one. There are benches throughout as well as some ponds which we enjoyed. I definitely think this is a must see while visiting Oslo!

This is a MUST VISIT if you travel to Oslo! It's a very stunning park with many strange but interesting monuments and statues in it. It's beautiful both in the snowy cold winter, as well as sunny shiny days of spring or summer. There are several places to visit in this park, make sure you discover them all!

Great place to visit with a lot of cool naked sculptures. The place is massive but very beautiful. Only thing that kills the 5 star rating is the amount of construction on the main pillar. Otherwise a must visit spot

One of the best parks I've been to, great sights, amazing sculptures, lovely view once you get to where the column is. The cafe does one of the best chocolates I've had in a very long time. We went during the last weekend of November and it was cold, so part of the lake was frozen over and the steps were a bit slippery, but other than that, absolutely loved it. There's an ice rink too which is vast and open.

Incredibly peaceful and quiet. The statues are beautiful, the area surrounding it is residential but lovely and everything feels like it belongs. The snow just made it even more wonderful.

Beautiful park with lots to see in the way of art work and sculptures. Easily accessible from the t-bane and a short (5 minute) walk. Highly recommended even in winter.

I really like this park! The obelisk is really impressive. However, many of the statues I don't find particularly elevating, as they are meant to represent the plethora of human emotions, of which some are base. However, I love just walking through the park. There is also I nice trail following a stream going down to Skøyen. I like running along it. It's a great way to run to Bygdøy, which is great for running

A must if you are a tourist in Oslo and also a must for locals. Lots of locals hang out here but there is also a huge amount of tourists as well which can make the park pretty crowded during the summer.

Lovely park with heaps of sculptures. You could spend several hours wondering through the park and just admiring the work. It’s free too, so I would recommend!

One of the biggest park in Oslo like Ekeberg park. Beautiful sculptures around the park worth visiting. Near to the Majorstuen and well connected by all forms of transport. Nice to visit during all season. There are cycle tracks around the park to explore.

A must-go for tourists and locals alike. If it is possible to give ten stars, I’ll do so! In this huge park which may be crowded on weekend at the park entrance, you can always find some quiet spots to enjoy on your own. Thumbs up.

I'm not usually a fan of visiting parks when travelling as let's be honest - they're all the same. This one is worthwhile however. They really spent the time sculpturing up this park to make it unique. Only takes around 10 minutes to walk to the centre where there are a tonne of photo ops so definitely worthwhile.

Go there on a sunny weekend to see a nutshell of Norway. All kinds of people gather to enjoy the sun and the lush grass, in addition to literally every tourist that visit Oslo. Look for your favorite statue! Bathrooms are not free: otherwise 5 stars. Edit: The bathrooms in the back of the park now take credit cards.

Went here with my friend, as it had been recommended by over 5 other people and after going I can see why. The sculptures are phenomenal, not only are they carefully maintained but the setting is perfect for any photographer with wide and eye catching scenery available and endless possibilities for panoramas and the sorts available. The bridge at the start is where the tourists are most densely located and you can line up a photo capturing the whole series of sculptures which is amazing but make sure you get up early to do so... Next the water fountain was breathtaking, due to the spectacular weather we were experiencing it was refreshing to feel cool water on your face in the breeze. Another thing that caught my eye was the final almost needle like structure, it towers over everything else and was once up there something wierdly wonderful. Finally the view from the top looking down was truly special and well worth the time. In short: make sure to go here and bring your camera!

Went early in the year so it looked different to what it would in summer but there was a ton to see. Even without blooming flowers it's a beautiful park and I would recommend anyone who happens to be in the area to visit. Very suitable for a picnic or a small BBQ which I saw some people doing on my visit. The only reason I didn't rate higher is because much of the area was covered in building/maintainence works and blocked access to fully walk around the central area which is a shame but obviously necessary.
