This was one of the most memorable stops on our stay in Oslo! The walk down Karl Johans gate was magnificent! This is one place that was so awesome that my son is asking to go back! Who would have thought a teenager was paying attention?! 😊

Very nice. All visits are guided group visits. Make sure you book your visit well ahead of time. Especially if you are looking for a guided visit in English.

Get a Bysykkel and make the ride up the hill to admire the palace. It’s so beautifully nestled at the end of one of Oslo’s main streets.

The place is very quiet on Sundays but it still a nice place to go with other tourists. There are guards outside like statues standing stiff at broad daylight.

Nice park surrounding the palace. We saw the changing of the guard also whilst we were there at around 5pm. Impressive building and worth a visit but not really much to do here.

I've never been inside (as a local, I'm bad at touristing in Oslo) but the outside is a lovely place, particularly with the gardens right behind the palace. I've heard the inside tours during the summer months are supposed to be great.

Beautiful palace and worth the short walk from the National Theatre T-bane stop. There are a lot of beautiful buildings in this area of Oslo so it's worth spending some time walking around. This palace is nice in that you can walk right up to it and take pictures with out all the fences and other such things that get in the way of other royal palaces.

It was magic to walk here during the late evening. It was peaceful and you get a nice view of town centre. It's not like Buckingham Palace, you can get close to the main building and have a better view of the guards.

The palace looked amazing. And we got to see the guard change. Sadly to take a tour inside you need to plan way before your trip and schedule something. Next available date to take a tour was late June.

Great place to visit enjoyed the view of the city below and the palace looks great on the outside got to observe the changing of the guard which was nice to watch. Unforntuantley if you plan to go inside you need to buy your tickets well in advance. Recomend inquiring at the Oslo Information Center.

Beautiful building and landscape grounds. I showed up on the hour and was able to watch the change of the gards. Plenty of areas to sit and relax, while enjoying the beautiful weather. When you arrive at the Palace you can get a great view of Central Oslo.

The guided tour is far more interesting than you would think. If you understand Norwegian, you should follow a Norwegian tour, because the information given in English is far more general (like «do they have a king or queen as monarch in Norway?») Probably vise to book ahead if you really want to see this place... Touch the furniture at your peril! 😁

You just get to see the palace from outside unless you go for some tour. Garden nearby is cool and opens during summers. We watched change of guards, which was decent.

Its nice finding yourself in the Royal Palace, especially if you are fortunate to find yourself inside looking at century's of history. Its exciting looking round seeing the kind of life they've lived and still living inside the palaces; touch some of the things they 've been using for ages. Learn about the kind of foods that are been served in there, their social life, the dark period of wars etc. Its amazing to know the kind of difficulty they also pass throughput sometimes that define each of the Mornarch through the ages. Its a wonderful time.
