Goodrington Sands railway station is on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, a heritage railway in Devon, England. It is close to Goodrington beach and the Quay West Water Park in Paignton.
I had the time of my life as a child, with its blue flag beach, amusement arcade, waterpark (splashdown) and now there is a brewers fayre pub (Inn on the Quay) with premier Inn attached situated in the middle of all of it. Perfect 👌
Absolutely loved this. Walked dog had eats in dog friendly cafe then walked to beach 2mins across park. Well worth a look
What can I say. It's free it's a brilliant space for kids and dogs. The beach is dog friendly. Good to take a picnic and just chill out. Live this place.
What a lovely place! Lots to do, a beautiful beach with lots of amenities close by. Beach is clean and tidy, the green spaces are well maintained with plenty of places to sit and picnic. Car parking is good and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.
What a lovely place, to hang out, with kids or not. Lots of things to do for kids, and a great beach. Well worth a visit
Love what they have done with the place catering for fur babies too food was excellent but we had to use for half hour for drinks and they only see Devon rock larger on draft so had to by bottles of perroni 10 pound for the bottels hence why only three stars will visit agian soon hopefully we will have a better experience
Either you only visit or lical, it is a very spectacular area with nice views for a mad camera, birds spotting or steam train spotting. Good fun places for children in season nice beach, restaurant inn and tea terrace, all dog friendly. For a quick fix, there is a snack kiosk, also only in season. Enjoy!
Great, the ‘Play Park’ is more for toddlers so don’t take anyone around 10+ as they will probably find it a bit boring. It is more fun if you have a friend/sibling with you.
A great family orientated beach area. Lovely clean beaches and a beautiful green with family fun. Bouncy slides, quad bikes, mini golf, bumper and swan boats are there (pay to play) as well as a normal park play area. Just away from the park area you have Goodrington steam train station, we took the trip to Dartmouth and caught the ferry over the river for some crabbing. My tip on that is use Tuna as bait, the stinkier the better, just remember a tin opener. There is a water park in Goodrington but we didn't get the chance to try it out.
