The pier would be a nice attraction if you could walk down it. But you're forced through the insanely loud arcades, then the bottom end is blocked by kids rides. Probably great if you have young kids and deep pockets, but terrible for anyone over the age of 12.
It is a typical pier. It has two amusement arcades on it with various machines, some of which don't work properly. It does have a nice view of the surrounding area on a good day though.
In its past glory days it was truly worth going to this pier, all the 2p machines had an actually decent payout, which was always terrible but that was the fun, most of the crane machines were skilled based and they featured a load of random yet fun games. Now the pier itself features mostly overpriced Vs. payout tiny crane machines which are attempting to get purposefully weighted down items with no skill needed just time / cash in. The end is stuffed with kids bouncy slides etc and has no historical feel to it whatsoever..
Great family afternoon out. Machines are low prices so many 2p and 10p as opposed to just £1 play in other places. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere.
Nice place to visit. Entertaining for all the family. The clearly rigged games are the only let down. The food available at the cafe on the pier is it's crowning glory. Friendly staff, nice food and good prices.
Great fun playing , but the tickets you win and take to shop to buy items are pretty worthless We had 237 tickets but only a few sweets to choose from at a shop price of 20p approx.. We had 237 tickets and got just 5 sweets worth about £1. There were lots of crying & disappointed children when it came to spending the tickets. Anything worth having was 3000/4000 + Only go in if you are just looking to spend £2/£3. Better option go into a shop and buy the kids a couple of sweets be far cheaper and less addictive.
Well, it's a great day out for young and old alike.. The pier has an arcade, fish n chips, then if you walk towards the harbour you will have a Vue cinema on your right, before that you have a park filled with zip line, other things to do for the children. After the vue cinema there is a miniature golf course with a galleon split in two etc.. The harbour has a little beach accessible by steps on the opposite side of the harbour near where the boats are on dry land. Harbour has restaurants dotted around. 😁😃
Great place to lose your hard earned cash. But it lets you dream of winning those £5:00's on the 2p slot machines. I have never won anything each time I visit but one day it will be payback day! Went down to Paignton front today to see the BAD bikers weekend and watch 3 riders ride the wall of death. Absolutely brilliant show well worth a visit especially if you are a bike fan. Lots of different bikes to view and a fun park thrown in, great day out.
