I'm not big museum person but the amber museum was still interesting. At the first floor there was mainly old furniture, paintings etc, so nothing really for me. But the second floor gave a good overview about amber. Best part were the little critters who had got stuck in the amber. You could look those amber pieces with magnifying glass and see all the details. Museum isn't very big but considering the low price of the ticket, i would recommend to have a look!

A wonderful historical palace of a noble Tiškevičius family. On the first floor you will find a display of the once contemporary furniture, paintings and tapestries, while on the second floor you will discover displays of the varieties of amber, it's genesis, use, and beautiful creations of well known Lithuanian jewelers. Well worth visiting.

Very interesting and beautiful place. Museum is located in the middle of the large park in a mansion or even palace like building. Exposition is very large and interesting. And in the end there is a little ship within crafts of real Amber.

Informative and pretty display, a must if amber is a hobby. Some historical artifacts from the 17 and 18 century are on display as well. Easily worth the entrance fee.

Interesting museum in the old estate of Count Tiškevičius. The museum itself only takes 15-30 minutes to see but it is surrounded by a nice park with lots of walking trails.

It is housed in the restored 19th-century Tiškevičiai Palace and is surrounded by the Palanga Botanical Garden. The museum's collection of amber comprises about 28,000 pieces, of which about 15,000 contain inclusions of insects, spiders, or plants. About 4,500 pieces of amber are exhibited; many of these are items of artwork and jewelry.

This museum is located inside a beautiful estate. The mansion itself is a beautiful work of art. The museum does a tremendous job teaching about the creation and history of amber and its collection process. I was amazed to see the rare pieces they had on display such as a lizard inside amber and a colony of mating insects inside amber. The admission is cheap and the experience is great. I highly recommend this for a day trip.

Lovely building, and even nicer staff. I wanted to buy an specific item and they tried really hard to help me. Amber isn't the impressive thing itself. It was the palace forniture and decoration what I enjoyed the most. Great place to visit

A great museum - it explains origin of amber, demonstrates different amber samples and things made of it. And museum also has some halls furnished in the 19th century style.
