L’église San Cataldo (chiesa di San Cataldo en italien) est une église de la ville sicilienne de Palerme, sise sur la piazza centrale Bellini. Elle représente un exemple notable de l’architecture arabo-normande qui a fleuri en Sicile sous la domination normande. Cette église est rattachée à celle de Santa Maria dell’Ammiraglio.
Fondée entre 1154 et 1160 par l’amiral Maion de Bari, dans les années où il était grand amiral du roi Guillaume Ier de Sicile, l’église fut ensuite confiée à des Bénédictins de Monreale, qui la conservèrent jusqu'en 1787.

I didn't go inside because they asked for money to enter. They should have made a combo ticket with the neighboring church d'amiraglio

Exterior of this church is very cute. This is obviously another good architecture example of combination of mosque and church. I did not enter the church as it charged entry fee. It is really small, so they hang a blanket at the gate to avoid peek :0

A very small medieval church. Interesting but very small and not much to see. Entry is 2 Euros or 1.5 if you already have a ticket from the church next door (which give you a discount).

Even if you have to pay 2.5 euros to enter it is totally worthy.
