The Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria dell"Ammiraglio is a masterpiece of Norman architecture in Sicily. Stunning Bizantian mosaics covered the ceiling representing the life of Jesus. The most powerful was the image of Christ Pantocrator overlooking the inner space of the cathedral. Must see.

Beautiful curch, absolutely worth a visit, but it is incredible they charge you to enter almost every church here in Palermo.

Another must see place at Palermo. This is the kingdom of Byzantine mosaics of XII century. You have to buy a ticket to get in. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

Sicily.......the most invaded place on the planet ....all these invasions is what makes Sicily the unique place that it is…and add to this that she has one foot in Europe and the other in Africa. Which gives Sicily the worlds most eclectic culture.

Beautiful church with many things to see. Could spend a long time looking at the architecture involved. Great surrounding area too, with other churches, a fountain, a resuautant and a big open plaza to spend time and relax in.

A very beautiful place to see! 2 euros to get in and the ticket gives you a small discount for other places too.
