The Palatine Chapel is among the most amazing sights I've seen in Europe. Every inch decorated, and the combination of Norman, and Arabic influences is really cool to see

12th century extraordinary chapel and palace. Part museum and part still in use today by Sicilian Assembly Room and offices.

UNESCO world heritage site and when you're there you can see why. The Capella Palatina is worth the entry fee alone and is simply breathtaking.

It’s doesn’t worth the money you pay for the entrance. Total disappointment. I’ve paid 11 euro for the entrance and an exposition. You better take a walk around it, it’s free and it’s beautiful.

To me, the absolute number one sight in this palace was the chapel. It was full of beautiful mosaics and gold, it looked so beautiful! A second nice thing was to see the place where the Sicilian government debates in the Hercules hall. The rest of the royal palaces were nice, yet nothing truly special if you've seen other European palaces and mansions (full of baroque paintings and art). Altogether I recommend to visit it though!

6 EUR for a 5mn visit... There was nothing to visit since the inner sides were degraded and dirty (filled with herbs) The domes passed almost unoticed because of their lack of painting or dirtiness.

Google does not have enough stars to describe the splendor, the beauty and humane spirit of this place. An experience that you won't - or at least shouldn't - ever forget.

Below the Palace there is an impressive museum of artefacts collected around Sicily... helpful staff....

Very nice place and a must see. If you are a detailed person with respect to historical things and arts, please plan at least half a day. What is opened for public is a small portion of course.

Palatine Chapel is mesmerising. And definitely worth queuing for royal apartments just to see what they call ‘Hall of Roger’ where there are more mosaics.

After visiting Saint Petersburg, Vatican, the Louvre, Palazzo Ducale in Venice there is nothing to see. It doesn’t worth spending money. You can observe only the small part of palace.

Paid 29 euro just to see the chapel and gardens The chapel certainly is nice but it's like paying full price for half what was expected It's just not clear enough which day the palace is closed Reading other reviews it's some kind of a lottery. On days you can't enter the palace they better reduce the entrance price Almost 30 euro for at most 30 minutes inside is not worth it Also beware when you have little kids or are disabled Despite the signs the entrance is not made for those with lower mobility There is a lift inside but reaching the second floor the door only is half open and they look angry at you when you try to open the other door.

Very impressive. One of the few local sites you should not miss.

I loved it ! Specially the Cappella Palatina ! You have to take your time to visit every thing.

Incredibile, the place is just beautiful. Highly recommend anyone to go there, it's definitely on the list of things you have to see in Palermo. The Palace is very well conserved and with that said it's obvious that it's going to an astonishing place, it was meant to be one. If you don't want to spend much i recommend you no to see the gardens, the Palatine chapel and the palace are high points of the visit anyway. There is noto much on the gardens really.

Elegant mosaics. Oil paintings, gardens, bus stop to Monreale. A wonderful experience. Get there early, no air conditioning.

A very nice place and a must see. If you are a detailed person with a great interest in history and arts, please plan at least half a day, though only a portion is opened to public.
