The museum is being renovated, so only a 1/3 is open. But a very nice exhibition, and very educationel. Used 2 hours here, but could have used 2 days.

Small museum with some really important pieces and lots of information about the collection in English as well as Italian. Staff were very friendly.

Great place to learn about the history of Sicily.

Wide range of Greek and Sicilian artifacts. A vast amount of information about various eras and very simple to navigate. Currently only the ground floor is open for viewing but it is well worth it! Nice little green space in the centre to relax by. Definitely would recommend, if you're visiting Palermo! Tickets are 3 euro at the moment and free on the first Sunday of every month.

I really enjoyed my visit - The displays are really well put together, me and my partner really enjoyed our time here, it wasn't the usual stuffy and boring museum experience it felt much more fun and I would definitly recommend. Also lovely staff, great shop, tickets are a good price and cafe & toilets. Plus an extra surprise in the fountain in the entrance!

Lovely place to spend a morning (or afternoon). Lots of artifacts and information from different time periods of Greek and Sicilian history. Near the front is a small pond-type installment with turtles swimming around. A nice little garden in the middle full of benches, plants and artifacts - perfect for a slow walk around to learn about Sicilian history.

Our travels in Sicily started in Palermo, which gave us the opportunity to visit this archeological museum prior to touring several archeological sites around the island. This was great background for the rest of our journey, in particular for learning more about Selinunte. We were with a guide explaining the exhibits, which I strongly recommend.

A very interesting museum both regarding the building but also the exhibits. However at the same time there were some grotesque mostly wooden creations spread among the beauty of the ancient findings, probably as part of a simultaneous exhibition of some kind of modern art.. I don't think it was the appropriate location or way of organizing it. Unless the point was to somehow stress the contemporary flirt with ugliness..
