A small section of ruins overlooking the ocean. Formerly the site of a gold mill, now a quick rock scramble / photo op. There is often a food truck parked nearby if you are in need of nourishment.
A must see for people that appreciate history. Most of the structure is missing although there's still a lot left. The stop has a refreshment stand with a lot of variety including cold beers!
These ruins are surrounded by ocean on one side and nothing on another. The hardship these miners must have endured is clear once you explore this area. We took standard car to this place. The road is rough for a small part but it was passable. Worth visiting.
Beautiful place. I climbed all the way to the top and it had a fantastic view. Incredible!
Stopped here on a tour of the island. Nicely preserved ruins. Fun to climb on.
A neat historical stop that also allows you to climb inside what was an old gold mill that was built and used in the late 1800s. Be careful of your step as some rocks are instead and slippery. A great spot for a photo opportunity and to see long distances up and down the coastline. There was also a food/drink truck present. Restrooms were available (on a trailer) for the cost of $1 per person.
Interesting place to walk around, climb and good ocean views.
Historical spots are always nice.
Was an incredible visit. Be sure to have a couple $1 bills handy to be able to use the bathroom. It's quite neat how everything is there and how you are able to climb over it
Neat place to see. I recommend seeing this as part of a tour. The back story on this is interesting. We used ABC tours. This location was one of the stops. During the tour we also hit the natural bridge, natural pool, and they fed us lunch. The roads getting to these locations takes a 4x4 vehicle.
Nice views. Not much to do here but it's a good sight to see.
Beautiful views of the Carribean Sea with crashing waves. Don't miss the natural pool hidden just a coue hunted meters away!
