Incredible way to spend a warm sunny day in February walking through the park. Although some of the sites are damaged due to natural disasters, there are a dozen sites that you can explore and learn about the history and influences of Paphos. You can see the efforts of modern life are trickling through the island slowly... but it's interesting to see how things were and what they've become today.

This of a withheld and extensive site to visit, whether you like Greco-Roman around our not. The mosaics alone are worth seeing, but if you go round the entire site you'll surely find something which you did not know before but which fascinated you, as it did me. This is a very well conserved site with clear explanatory statements at each individual excavation on site. A wonderful place to spend a few hours.

A shame that some of the mosaics were covered in sand. Presumably protecting ahead of renovation but no info available. Fantastic site. A must if you visit Pafos. One mosaic in particular is superb and hardly damaged.

The archaeological park contains the major part of the ancient Greek and Roman City of Paphos. Its sites and monuments date from prehistoric times through the Roman ages. It is a nice place to walk and enjoy the history. It is organised with vending machines areas to rest and public restrooms. In the summer time it is really hot during the day A great view to the seaside.

Site has some of the best preserved Mosaic in their original location. The site covers quite a large area. If its a hot day there is little by way of shade so beware. Well worth a few hours hours to see.

Quite exquisite examples of near perfectly preserved mosaics to be seen here, although it's quite a large area, so you will need to be prepared for a long walk around each area/house. A large parking area if you have a hired car. The king's shopping Mall is very close by and underground parking appears to be free at the moment.

An impressive and sprawling archaeological park. The entrance for €4.50 is well worth the price as the park is made up of different archaeological digs and sites and ruins. The place could do with some better preservation of some artefacts and some more information on site, but definitely worth a visit. Comfortable walking shoes are a must and you need 3 to 4 hours to visit all the sites.

Found by chance as sign posts are not used much. But had four hours of exploring for €4.50. Lots to see over a large area. Found the signs a little brief. Heard someone going around with a podcast, wish I had known as it would have added to the visit.

Fantastic archeological site spread across a few acres. A definite treat for the archaeologist and an interesting and educational experience on Paphos' past. Warning: you will need to bring comfortable shoes irrespective of weather as ground across the site is not universally level. A hat and plenty of water is definitely recommended if you're visiting in summer, as outside of the tombs there's very little shade and the only water available if you don't bring your own is from overpriced vending machines. Entry was very reasonable though (about €5) so I guess it all works out.

This place was really good and interesting lots too see and take in slightly dearer than Tomb of Kings at €4.50 per adult but still don't charge for children. Plenty of areas being excavated and covered each site in gravel to protect.

Excellent day strolling around the ruins. Could be improved be having numbers as well as the name on the guide and numbers on signposts to hear better prospective of were you are. Also distance between each site.
Vladimir Sadovski | Apr. 21, 2018
The place is small like everything on Cyprus. Do not expect too much. But there are several interesting mosaics and good preserved. Unfortunately there is no convenient paths, everything is dust and small rock. Don't miss Dionysus house this one definitely worth to see.

Rather hot but main mosaics are under the shadow. Beautiful scenery. Better to visit at 8 am or at the sunset.

Excellent place. We spent 3 hours and could have stayed longer. Better detailed map would be useful.

Very big, hot and exposed. Suggest you go on a cool day! or very early in the morning or evening time ... and bring water !! the ruin and mosaic beautiful and interesting. we spend around two hours enjoying. Nice .

Very big, hot and exposed. Suggest you go on a cool day! I would say that's the most important thing to emphasise, the best time to visit is early in the morning, because by 11 o'clock it will already be too hot and even at 4 the ground is radiating on the heat of the day so walking around in the open like this is not recommended for the centre of the day. In summer it's actually open till 19:30 in the evening but the last entry is 1900 hours. Around it.

We first visited in 2016 and saw there was a lot still being excavated, and came back again in May 2018. There are some newer areas to see over two years ago. The area is very wide open and hot, even arriving at 09:30 in May was very warm, but we knew to wear a hat and bring water as there is a building near to the centre where you can buy water for €0.50 from vending machines. (The later you go, they aren’t always full, so it’s best to take your own.) The mosaics are beautiful and definitely worth seeing, as are the ruins of the Roman buildings and the Castle too. Views from the lighthouse are amazing, great photo opportunities from all areas of the site, but going up the steps at the side of the lighthouse is worth walking over to. Highly recommend visiting this site as long as you have a good 2/3 hours to really enjoy it.

One of the most amazing archaeological sites i have ever visited...and ive been to a few! A vast wide open area chock full with hidden treasures. A brief glimpse into the past. Subterranean bath houses. Temples. Courtyards. A quarry and also bill the lighthouse. A fantastic day out. Roasting though so wear a hat! You will thoroughly enjoy :)
Heather Spooner | Juli 13, 2018
Very hot but worth going. Lots of well preserved mosaics over 2000 yrs old. Need an hour any half at least and aim to go in cooler parts of day. Couldn't find how to access amphitheatre.
Shaun Williams | Juli 15, 2018
History and learning about and from it is vital. Lots of walking on this site so if it's 33°C like it was for us then plan your trip with plenty of water (vending machines are available in the middle of the site for 50c a bottle of water and there are toilets near the theatre) sunscreen and a hat! There's a visitor centre with videos playing (air conditioning) and bits and pieces to buy, plus a huge map of the site. Only €4.50 entry for adults.
Federico Riccardi | Juni 26, 2018
Beautiful to visit, it takes at least 2/3 hours only for the Paphos mosaics so, i personally suggest to visit this part early morning or late evening (take with you a lot of water and a hat). Price is 4 euro and 50 per person that for me, really is a good price for the history you gonna see. Also visit the catacombs that are located just 5 minutes walking from the Paphos mosaics on the main road to the harbour that are free to visit.

Lovely experience but without breeze excruciatingly hot, thank god for the common shaded bench areas. Many historical things and quite alot to explore. No guide so you can wonder around and pricing is cheap. Definitely worth checking out but be prepared for the heat as it gets HOT.

This place is a really good day out with kids. Even my boy isn't too fussed about history but he enjoyed it. It's definitely a 2-3 hour visit if you want to enjoy everything but you can of course just visit the places of interest and cut down the time. They are open until 7pm so you have to time it right in the summer to avoid the heat. We went at 5pm and that was perfect (note though that the castle shuts at 5pm so do not first if you want to bundle two trips into one). Bring snacks, water and sun cream!

Stunningly well persevered Roman mosaics. The site well deserves it's UNESCO World Heritage site status. The visitor centre gives a good introduction to site. Stunning sea views. Bike that you have to leave the site to see some of the ruins.
Ian Jessop | Aug. 14, 2018
We visited this attraction in July 2018. It is amazing value for money, as there is a lot to see, from Roman, through Ottoman Empire, through to Greek archeology. The visitor centre is small and not that inspiring, but the ruins are amazing. Some of the attractions shown on the map, are actually outside the boundaries of the centre, but can be accessed easily on foot within around 15 to 20 minutes of walking. Overall well worth visiting.
Temi Omorinoye | Juli 23, 2018
Such a treat if you love mosaics. Very well preserved and lots of details about each one. Large site and lots of walking involved so advise comfortable foot wear. Allow a couple of hours at least to enjoy and go in the morning or late evening as there's very little shade from the sun.
James | Aug. 16, 2018
Wow love the mosaics. Go early in the day as it is very hot late morning onwards. Some building so shade areas. Great site. Amazing.
