Царские гробницы (греч. Τάφοι των Βασιλέων) — большой некрополь в двух километрах к северо-западу от гавани Пафоса на Кипре. Своё название гробницы получили от их великолепия и убранства, а вовсе не от захоронения там царей.

This is one of three UNESCO sites in Cyprus. And, not only is the site historically interesting, but the location of the site is beautiful. You can pretty much explore all of the diggings, and it’s awesome to touch columns built by someone centuries ago. And, the site is right next to the beautiful ocean, and it’s so peaceful. I would recommend visiting this place. It’s €2.50 to enter. Not bad at all.

Amazing place loved it. It's really spread out and with stunning ruins. I think there's still so much excavation here as it looks like it could have been a town or city! It has lots of history but they don't know much about it. I'm not personally convinced it's tombs, never any remains found here when dug out but there's many buildings. It's breath taking

We enjoyed this visit. Very very interesting. The site covers quite a large area. Be aware if it's hot there is little shade so hats needed. You could not do this place justice in less than half a day! Reasonably priced. Good carpark. Bus right to the door. Taxis abound.

Interesting place and plenty of places to clamber around. A word of warning there are no places to buy water inside so take water with you. On hot days very little shade

For €2.50 this is a site well worth visiting, but one doesn't get the sense that there's anything distinctly Cypriot about it; in other words, the references are to the Hellenic and Roman periods, but were the inhabitants invaders from continental Europe or indigenous Cypriots? There is a brochure not included in the admission price -- perhaps the answers are there. There are signs briefly explaining the structures and their purpose, but as of 2018 this is still very much a raw archeological site in that many of the structures haven't been excavated. The ones that have are impressive, and a couple still even have remnants of the ancient ornamentation.

Very humbling experience which quickly gives you a sense of a people and how they determined to carry out the burial of their dearly beloved. The effort put into digging out tombs helped to create the importance of tradition and the value of the living aswell as the dead. The tombs indicated a simple people with little resources and somewhat isolated from the wider world at large; leaving them to create their own rhyme and reason which leads to mythology. My visit to the tomb of kings has left an imprint on my life.....i love the way its open for the public to see and I can feel the respect for the site by all other visitors through the fascination expressed. I defiantly recommend it as a site worth visiting.

So much to see. Guide book and water are a must. Also no toilet apart from the ticket booth do don't get caught short. So many tombs to explore it really is worth allowing plenty of time and fully exploring the full site. Don't be tempted too just catch the main path.

Fantastic bit of ancient history. Lots to explore. Take water with you and get here early. If the weather is nice you will roast. Unfortunately no real wheel chair access as it is fairly rough terrain but well worth a visit.

Visited the Tomb of Kings Friday 29.03 really good and interesting place to pass a few hours away - it was only 20 min walk from apartments we are staying in even in the heat very doable just take some water and have sunscreen on as no shelter unless you are under the tombs etc

Not really much to see here, I felt I wasted an afternoon, could have been doing something much more interesting instead. It's just a pile of ruins which don't really resemble anything and the plaque reads "May have been tombs of the kings" so in essence, could be something different altogether. If you have absolutely nothing to do, go and check it out otherwise I'd say give it a miss.

This was a great trip. Having walked up along the coastal path from Paphos harbour, we really enjoyed the tombs - way more than we expected to. There are a number of fully accessible tombs throughout the park where you can walk down the steps and right into them. There are 8 main tombs with good description boards nearby, but also a lot of others that are equally accessible (just possibly less intact). Admission, at €2.50, is unbelievably low and well worth it. Kids would also really enjoy exploring this place, really helps history come alive when you get this much access. If you walk here from the coastal path, it's worth noting that Google maps will direct you to an exit gate, so you'll need to cross to the dual carriageway before you reach the Elysium hotel.

Fantastic place to visit. Very interesting and a great walk around the ancient monuments. Best to go early morning before the sun gets too strong and take lots of water as there's plenty of walking.

No audio guides. Unfriendly ticket lady scowling at us. Maybe she was too hot and didn't want to be there. Barely any information in the tombs. The guide book was 4euro but terribly translated into English so despite buying the guide we just googled to get some semblance of sense into English. Great site though but be warned it's like a desert in the sun. Take water with you. It's a two and a half good look around. In retrospect I loved it.

Allow 2-3 hours and wear suitable footwear. A really interesting visit. Information literature is available to purchase when you get your tickets. Entrance is €2.5 per person. You are able to wander about the site yourself there is enough information on the boards to help without the booklets. You can wander down into the various burial tombs.

Another Fantastic historic site in only a small area of cyprus. Easily found and accessible. Relatively flat although some of the tombs are accessed by way of some steep stairs that are a bit dusty. Amazing stonework and a real insight into the past. Easily spend 3-4 hours here walking around. Lots to see. Bring a hat and sun cream as it is toasty! Would come again.

Very interesting. Lots of tombs to go into. Not well signed inside. Do make sure you walk about. Otherwise you might miss some. Could do with map in English and other languages to help people get the most out of visit. But still enjoyable.

Entry here is remarkably cheap, considering the history on show and the picturesque surroundings. The tombs are well kept and we loved that we could get so hands on with things, compared to similar sites we've visited on our travels. That said, there isn't much depth here beyond tombs - the nearby archaeological park offers a broader range of things to see and more detailed/interesting history. But Tombs of the Kings is a great visit for a stroll around near the sea.

Awe inspiring place. Thought it would be further outside city but its actually on the outskirts in a fairly populated area. Weird seeing the tombs that are 1500 years old next to modern buildings. Cheap entry at €2.50 but other than toilets there are no other facilities inside. Took us 2.5 hours to walk around. However it was very hot and there is no shade. Thought that inside tombs would be cool but they are not. Despite it being hot enough for my sweat to sweat, it was an interesting and educational visit and a break from the normal holiday routine of beach, pool, waterpark etc.

This is probably but the hottest place I've ever been to! Only €2.50 entry but very hard to enjoy because of the heat. Make sure you take at least a litre of water, sun cream and a large hat. Wear light clothing and comfy shoes. I usually love going to places like this and it probably would have got more stars if I hadn't been distracted by the heat. There is no shade! The place itself is large and lots to see. Lots of 'tombs' to walk and look into.

Fascinating ancient site with lots of tombs to explore. While there is signage the descriptions are very technical in nature. They would also benefit from a map at the entrance. However, the entrance tickets were very reasonable. Plenty of parking on site. Yes screen the site from most of the nearby buildings. Take plenty of water off you visit in the summer.

Fantastic... Expect to walk alot, however worth it. Entry is super cheap. You will get stunning photographs here of the sea and the tombs itself. You are able to walk into the tombs and explore these ancient ruins without much restrictions. Great for families, couples or for a lone adventure.
