It's almost guaranteed that the exhibitions displayed at the Grand Palais will blow you away. It appears that they somehow always have the very best of the artist they're presenting or the theme they're focusing on.

Gaugin was a major disappointment. Lines were badly managed, museum was dingy and most of the artwork was pretty naff. Petit Palais had better stuff and is nicer all round including architecture

Went for Irving Penn exhibit, truly amazing, got lost in it for hours. I recommand this place they managed the flood of people very well, u dont feel its crowded if tough it was.

Impressive building. Expositions inside are often worth it (been to KUPKA, was really great!) even if quite pricey. Don't get lost around the Palais, the surroundings are currently under construction.

Magnificient piece of architecture. Unfortunately the main area under the glass roof isn't available open to the public but you can view one of the temporary exhibitions located in a corner of the building. At the time it was artists and robots which was a brilliant exhibition.

Incredible place. I don’t live in Paris but every time I pass by, I always use my free hours to visit the exhibition of the moment. Always something incredible too see, lean, experiment. My favorites exhibitions ever : Hokusai and Monet. 14€ the adult ticket. You may experiment 2/3 hours waiting in the queue, if you come at the peak hours ; reserve your spot online to avoid that.

Was there for the Irving Penn exhibit. Being disabled and using a motorized chair I was greeted by a guide who took me through the basements and back corridors and service lifts up to the exhibition. When I wanted to move to a different level the guard radioed the guide who quickly came to escort me on the service lift. Like other main museums in Paris entrance was free for me and a companion...!!!

We visited only Artists and Robot exposition, it was very enjoying and informative. I like the interactive expositions the most. Buy tickets online to avoid queues.

Visited the artists and robots exhibition. Sounded great. But most of the exhibits weren't working. Others were very basic. With everything working it would still not be worth it but with all the best bits motionless it would be expensive if it was free.

Decently sized museum. I liked the exhibit that was there at the time: Artistes et Robots (Artists and Robots). Get an audio guide or use the Google translate mobile app to translate using the phone's camera, as the texts about the works are all in French.

Wonderful museum/ exhibition space. Look up what's going on here because just the building itself is worth your time.

Shows some extraordinarily good exhibitions. We always buy tickets ahead on line. If it's busy, you queue outside, so be prepared for the weather. Has a functional, convenient cafe inside, serving tasty salads, baguettes, drinks and cake. The shop's also good and you can get a discount with your exhibition ticket. All makes for a great day out!
