While I was traveling in Europe for the 'Map Your World Week' Google #LocalGuides. In my second time in Paris and I keep loving to visit this museum. However their Customer Service has decreasing in its quality in less than 2 years. Staff are not friendly and in the border to be rude. If you are not prepared to work in the Hospitality Industry, then do not do it! - the quantity of visitors per day can not affect the quality of the service that they must provide.

I was awestruck by the sculptures arranged in the courtyards; and the rest of the art- pure, functional and historic- were frosting on the cake. I walked through the place in wonder that this is on display to be enjoyed by the common people, and that there is even a level of trust that allows intimacy for the visitor. And the Louvre is handicap accessible. And there are affordable on-site restaurant options. If you enjoy art and are in Paris, it's a must see.

As a person whom is not super arty, I was thoroughly impressed with the breadth of the works here. First, going to see the Mona Lisa is stupid. Just buy it on a postcard and enjoy. The gigantic wall sized paintings in the neighboring wing are far more impressive. The European marble sculptures were probably the most impressive. Busts and figures of seemingly random people with tremendous details that would make a 3D printer tremble. But I found myself looking at the building itself rather than the pieces inside. The ceilings and wall coverings are incredible. I think it was in the Sully wing that was most ornate. Would need more than one day to fully investigate and appreciate everything here.

I went to visit the Louvre in a small group guided tour during my trip to Paris. It was almost overwhelming how much there is to see. I can barely put it into words what the experience is like, you really have to see it for yourself. It is simply incredible, so much history and beauty in one place...just amazing. I am an arts and history junkie, so I almost died when I saw the Venus de Milo, the Mona Lisa and Napoleon's private apartments (to name a few). My guide was wonderful, she knew her stuff(!!!), and she knew it in French, English and Spanish! I absolutely recommend visiting the Louvre if you are in Paris. Wear some really good walking shoes, and if you can afford it, go in a small group guided tour. If you have guide, make sure you tip your guide well because they do a fantastic job, and as you go in, reconcile yourself with understanding that there is no way you can see the entire Louvre in one day.

I have always wanted to visit it...and I did, at last! In short, it is amazing! Multiple cultural and historical masterpieces are stored here. The museum building, interior decoration and stuffs are very nice and help full. But It would have been nice if they start children entry restrictions in the rooms, containing naked sculptures and paintings. Otherwise everything is fine, one must pay a visit to it. Entry ticket price is 15€. They have discounts for disabled persons and below 18s.

Amazing. One of the places I was least looking forward to in Paris and only went because my friends wanted to, but turned out to be one of the highlights for me! The queues were no way near as bad as I thought they would be, and as I'm under 25 and an EU citizen I got in for free!!! I only had time to see the Egyptian and Arabic/Asian(?) (Think it was listed as one of those two but seemed more Mediterranean to me) sections, but they were both gorgeous. There are a few descriptions in English, but I really enjoyed the challenge of deciphering the French. Also saw their current pastel exhibition, which is stunning. Would 100% recommend.

As one of the most famous museums in the world, it's definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend purchasing your tickets online ahead of time and set an entry date and time to bypass the very long line ups. I read online somewhere that you could probably complete the museum in 4 hours; however, I think it would take longer if you want to visit every exhibit/gallery, especially if it's a busy time. Wear comfortable shoes and attire because you will be doing a lot of walking! Flash photography is not allowed, and you have to go through security as well. There's so much to take in, you might want to take a few minutes when you enter to get the museum map and info pamphlet and plan a route so you don't miss out on anything.

Best idea is to have a plan of what you want to see, hit all of that first, then give yourself an extra hour or two to explore for fun. Also, having a timed ticket or skip the line ticket helps. We went at 10 AM on a self guided tour, and there was already a long line for the fast entry! However, during the summer months it is best to o around that time so if you spend half the day there, you spend the hottest time of day mostly indoors. We spent about 5 hours there but could have stayed longer, we just had more to see elsewhere and were satisfied with 5 hours. We also downloaded a free app (not the museum's) and listened to the pieces we wanted to know more about so we didn't spend the money on the audio guided tour. I also recommend going to the Cafe by Napoleon's apartment. The terrace is a great view.

Really great. Lots of interesting article and historical artifacts; I enjoyed the French paintings, Egypt, and Islamic art. Make sure to download the My Visit to the Louvre app which has a list of the exhibitions and can give you directions through the museum to reach them. It was also nice entering through underground entrance from the metro. Saw the Mona Lisa because we had to, but that was the worst part since you can't actually get close enough to appreciate it. It was only interesting for people watching.

How could you not love the Louvre! One of the most iconic places in the world. We went here during our honeymoon and it was awesome. We seen the Mona Lisa which was really cool. it was very very very busy. Get here early to beat the large crowds if you can. Over all this is one of the most coolest things I've done. Seeing things you only see on TV or in school books brings it all back for me.
